  • There is no healthy substitute for butter, they are either full of chemicals or taste like crap, usually both. As long as you weigh and log it and it fits within your allowance, there is nothing wrong with using real butter. Enjoy! PS: I also love dunking bread in a good olive oil, for a change from butter!
  • I basically eat whatever I like within reason, and weigh/log everything. I also cook a lot which helps me track exactly what im eating, and allows me to make healthier versions of my favourite foods like curries, chillis, stews, pasta etc. Lunches are usually (homemade) soup, sandwich or a salad with fruit then a proper…
  • Not healthy. Not sustainable. So no
  • I dont think either are bad for you if you dont overdo it and it fits in your daily amounts. Personally, I would take a piece of cheese over a piece of chocolate any day because I prefer savoury food but when I fancy some chocolate, nothing beats the Lindt Intense dark chocolate with sea salt, my god I can inhale a 100…
  • Do you not like 'real' food very much?
  • Seriously, is this thread real?
  • love this Yes I eat pasta, even the evil immoral white kind! I just make sure it fits into my allowance I even have it with cream, cheese and bacon sometimes, I just hope I dont go to hell because of my sick food choices lol
  • Same as my husband, he cant sleep in a stitch of clothing I on the other hand sleep in either 1) a mumu (huge oversize loud hawaiian print ankle length nightie, I look like a freak but sooo comfy), 2) an old t-shirt, 3) wife beater and panties, or 4) cotton pyjamas. I dont care unless its comfy! Needless to say I get many…
  • Im Indian and ive never seen nor heard of anyone anywhere in India eating a plate of live maggots, what part of India does this happen? Would love to know!
  • Its only a few bugs, I wouldnt be 10kg overweight if I worried about everything I put in my mouth lol Personally, I would be more worried about the metals seeping into my food from the cans they are packaged in. You never know how long they are on the shelf, at least not where I live (in Uganda) so I hardly ever buy…
  • Reading this has made my day! (im a sucker for romance!) HUGE CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH!!
  • This is my favourite go-to salad dressing which also works great as a marinade and to add to stir frys etc, its thai in origin but ive tweaked it a bit to suit my taste. Beware I dont know measurements, just trial and error so play around with the amounts: Thai fish sauce Light soy sauce Honey Minced fresh garlic Finely…
  • Insanity by far, and ive tried a lot of dvd's
  • There are many ways to save money on grocery shopping. For example, check out local asian/arabic/oriental supermarkets, you can easily find huge bags of dried beans/pulses/herbs/spices etc for a fraction of what you would pay in a big store; visit your store at the end of the day, there are usually many fresh products…
  • Amen. Most sensible answer
  • OMG and this, seriously whats the effing point of kale chips???? And people who say they LOVE them and they taste better than regular chips are just plain lying
  • I would rather lose a limb than eat either tofu or celery Love the taste of watermelon but the texture of fresh, raw watermelon makes my skin crawl
  • Being Indian I eat a lot of basmati but I weigh it when its cooked, around 150 grams is enough for me plus whatever im eating it with. Its high in cals but as long as it fits in your macros then its fine
  • There are way WAY too many, but after deliberating this is my list in no particular order: Pizza Cheese Curry Ice cream Pasta with any cream based sauce Alcohol especially white wine and vodka-based cocktails Potato chips Loaded nachos Warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream Kitkat chunkys Smothered pork ribs Gourmet…
  • Im sorry but honestly I dont think you are burning anywhere near 2000 cals a day. If you were, and if you were only eating 1200-1400 cals a day then its a miracle you are even able to get out of bed in the first place. The ONLY way to accurately measure cals burned is with a HRM combined with religiously weighing and…
  • Hi there, im new to lifting, am really really really enjoying it! I would say I try to eat healthy wholesome food most of the time but will indulge if I feel like it, everything in moderation is my mantra! Feel free to add me, always nice making new friends!
  • Im heavier that you and im not fat, seriously a lot of people would kill to weigh 149, although why people would place so much importance on a number on the scale alone, is beyond me

  • Honestly, you seem to be making this far more complicated than it is. Just estimate all the ingredients and add a few more cals on top for good measure, there you go! Besides, one day of not measuring everything accurately isnt going to kill you
  • My mantra is 'everything in moderation' but I have to say, I think the majority of fast food tastes crap and im hungry an hour later so not worth the calories IMO. However, I will happily devour an entire large anchovy or meat feast pizza in one sitting if the mood takes me.. With some booze to wash it down of course!
  • Feel free to add me people! Im always looking for more like minded MFPs so we can encourage and support each other!
  • Exactly! Why is this so hard to understand / implement?? MODERATION
  • Anchorman Im obsessed with Will Ferrell
