My thought is this. During the day I move around. Do stuff. So, if I eat, some of the eat gets used. If I eat then go to bed for 8 hours, then I do not move around and stuff is not done. All of what I eat remains unused. Perhaps this food becomes ... fat. Please reply to discuss my thoughts. Cheers, Sean

So, I took a late lunch and went to the gym. There were three customers there, including me. I got to do my circuit, use the elliptical I wanted, not see nekkid people or smell fat, hairy, sweaty guys, and found the sneakers I lost last Friday when I went there to play soccer. That's a great gym day!

I know and read on here they are not that accurate. Should I really bother with it? The elliptical at the gym asks my age, weight and takes my heartrate. Is a wrist HRM going to be much different? Cheers, Sean

I do this. I move between machines when working out, as a circuit. And, I feel bad about it ... but I make sure there is no interest in the machines I use before I start and I pay attention and wipe down so someone could jump in. I like this kind of workout. If the gym is busy I just do four sets in one place before moving…

Right. Trial and error. I assume MFP overestimates the calories I burn on the elliptical. I assume MFP and I underestimate the calories I actually eat. So ... If you don't work out, then there is nothing to eat back, right? On the food tab, look at the bottom at the "Remaining" line. I use the elliptical machines all the time. I jog once in a while, but I get shin splints if I jog too much. I also use some weights, as well, but mostly the elliptical. Sean

I walk across bridges of varying capacity and if one collapses, I take note of the posted weight limit. Just kidding. ;-P Generally, Friday mornings after my bio break and with few clothes on in the bathroom on a scale. Cheers, Sean
