I had Roux En Y gastric bypass in 2011 and have lost 120+ pounds, and kept it off for nearly 5 years. The surgery was a huge help to me in being a catalyst to lead a much healthier life. I eat 5-6 small, balanced meals a day, go to the gym 4-5 times a week, get lots of rest and drink plenty of water. In addition to a…

Our little dog is a mama's girl (we have 2), she's slept in the bed with us since she was 10 weeks old! We sometimes share a pillow :)

Me!!! I just finished 2 "lightly salted" rice cakes with 1 tbsp natural PB and 1/4 cup of berries.

I tried the shredded cheddar a few months back... Wasn't a fan. It looks like cheese, feels like cheese, but doesn't really taste like cheese. I couldn't get past the smell either. This is just my opinion. You may love it!

Good for you! Gotta love that :)

I graduated in 2002 at about 185 lbs. I am 145 lbs. now

This. Plus my husband... He's all the child I can handle!

Very rarely. My husband is usually with me, he tends to intimidate!

I lift 4-5 days a week, my goal is set to 1400. Sometimes I eat more, sometimes I eat less. I don't usually eat back my exercise calories, and I TRY to stick to the fairly structured diet that was provided to me by my nutritionist/trainer. I have had the best results in the last 5 months of following his program. I've lost…

@TheRoadDog- your beard is GLORIOUS!

I LOVE ground turkey! I usually make taco meat with Mrs. Dash taco seasoning, which is surprisingly delicious! I don't really care for the Mrs. Dash seasonings. If you make meatballs or burgers, be sure to add an egg or egg whites, as those things tend to get a little dry. It is also great for chili!

This. I was a total cardio "bunny" while I lost my first 100 pounds, and still hated the way I looked. 4 months of lifting weights has changed my body completely and I love what it's done for me!!!

That sounds amazing!

Yes... All of this. I couldn't imagine not eating left overs. I do batch cooking for the week. It's both time and budget friendly, and has made my life SO much easier!

BSN Lean Dessert! I've tried the whipped vanilla cream and the chocolate fudge flavors, both are delicious. I use them for smoothies, protein pancakes, and even just in some water or milk, if I'm in a hurry. The down side, it's a little pricey. On amazon.com I get a 1.91lb tub for about $20-$23.

This. I am totally not a fan of running, despite multiple attempts. I have run two 5k's and hated every minute of both, as well as my training leading up to them. I just don't like running! I'd much rather do any other form of cardiovascular activity!

Chips and queso and/or salsa Hummus and crackers Girl Scout cookies; particularly the "Thanks-a-Lots". My husband and I opened a box the other night, intending to just have 1 each. Yeah... We were talking as we ate them, and the next thing we know: sleeve is EMPTY!

I've had success both ways. Clean eating AND "unclean" eating. I had early success with IIFIYM, but after a couple of years, losing got much harder. I have recently had much better results with a cleaner diet and working out a little harder. Not saying IIFIYM doesn't work, it just stopped working for me...

I would suggest getting a HRM. It all depends on your effort/weight/height/age. But that sounds pretty low... If you're using MFP's calculators, I would use circuit training, general instead of strength training.

"Zoodles"! I take my serrated peeler and julienne a zucchini into thin strips that resemble noodles. I serve them with fresh marinara, or just a little olive oil and grated parmesan. They're delish!

Well done, everyone!!! Keep in mind, you're further today than you were yesterday. Just keep going with forward progress! For me, I've lost a grand total of 125 lbs since April of 2011. The first 100 was in about 10 months, the other 25 was SLOW; constant pushing, and quite a bit of trial and error. I was the…

I'm between 5'4" and 5'5", current weight is about 148 lbs. My goal is between 130-135 by August/September, but I'm training for a bikini competition, so I just want my body to look like it's supposed to for that event! After that, I'm good with 140-145.

I'm shooting for Fall (fingers crossed) as well. Would any of you be interested in starting a group? It could be a place to vent and bounce ideas, etc...
-
I actually did it back in the Fall. It was a really good plan! I didn't see very many results at all, though, which is why I am where I am (with the trainer). I have made more progress in 10 weeks than I have in over a year working out on my own! I am having "the talk" with him on Friday morning when I pay for my next set…
