  • Your doing great, just listen to the positive voice of God to build you up! Good job taking this on as a challenge! Oh, and yes, I always check in before bed, just to remind me of why I started this journey.

  • Looks good, gonna have to try them. Thanks!
  • Nike+ has a great website that has different coaching programs. If you have an iPhone, you can link up to that to track your runs with the gps app, too.
  • Nuts of any kind are very calorie dense, so the info could be correct.
  • He may also be feeling a little worried that with any changes you make that you might not want to be with him anymore. Common with partners of those doing the lifestyle changes. Maybe a talk about how you still need him and that you are doing this for your family, not to leave him. Sometimes just addressing the insecurity…

  • Hi I just hit my goal last Wednesday and finally set my profile to maintenance last night. I still have a few toning areas to work on and if the numbers lower, I'll log them, but not otherwise. My weight goes up and down by a couple pounds just existing, so unless there's some drastic change, I'm going to leave it alone.…
  • Hi, If you eat things with sauces, like spaghetti sauce, you can add in well blended vegetables into the sauces and it doesn't change the flavors enough to notice. It increases the vitamin and nutrient levels without having to choke down something you can't bear. Hope this idea helps.
  • Prepackaged foods are notorious for having large sodium levels, even the ones labeled for healthy lifestyles. Taking time to make up your own home versions of them and freezing them is a great way to combat this and still have the convenience of having something quick to grab or pack.
  • Hey, I'm from Kamloops, so not too far from you. Been on here for over a year, and its been great. Hope you have great success with your goals. Feel free to add me if you want. Suzi
  • Sounds like you are already used to being on your feet, so why not go for walks? It's free and works on all the areas you are concerned about. I've lost most of my weight by just doing that.
  • I found that baking my meatloaf on a broiler pan works so well . I line the bottom portion of the pan with foil and spray the top portion with Pam. I then mound my meat mixture on in a loaf shape and bake it. That way all the excess fat is drained away instead of the loaf soaking in it in a loaf pan. It's so much easier to…
  • Baby I'm a Star is one of my main workout songs. I was convinced that if he just saw me, he would know we were meant for each other. Being that I am the same height and wore the same size, we could share a wardrobe. Sadly, he never noticed me when I went to his concert so many many years ago....
  • Jungle Flames by The DNC. it has a fast enough beat to walk to and encouraging uplifting lyrics.
  • Think of the positive influence, not only for your child, but possibly someone with the same doubts as you! Go inspire!!
  • My husband uses that, and has been the best meds he has been given since being diagnosed almost five years ago. He has found that it's best to take it after eating dinner, or he gets an upset stomach.
  • Are you eating enough and getting you water amounts in? I find that when I don't get enough nutrition in, my loss stalls. I am 5' so we're aiming for the same goals.
  • I work in a sushi restaurant, so I pretty much know what are the best choices. Anything with a California roll base is going to be high in sodium and fats, it is usually made with mayo and imitation crab (mixture of mystery fish and flour). If you enjoy the rolls with just fish or vegetable products, that's your best bet.…

  • It would probably be pretty close to "ultimate frisbee," which I think is in the database.

  • It is a great site! It's taken me almost a year to lose my 40 (10? to go) and I've learned a bunch about my eating and activity habits. I'm sure you will have great results, and you'll start to see the change soon.
  • First of all, I'm praying comfort over you during this painful time. As far as starvation mode, it doesn't happen after one day of not eating, you have to be under for an extended amount of time, so don't add that stress to yourself. Allow yourself to be what you need to be at this time without guilt.
  • It all depends on the source "pot roast" came from on the database. If there is a star next to it, it has been submitted by another user. No star, by the MFP crew. I tend to use the non-starred entries as they are more accurate on all nutrients. You can't tell the difference if you are using the phone app, you have to be…

  • I buy plain yogurt, add a half pack of Truvia, sometimes more, and some fresh or frozen fruit to it. I ignore all those sugars because they are all from natural sources and processed better. I try to put a banana in each time to keep my potassium up.
  • If you have a free day, I would suggest making and freezing your own soups. I have found that gives you the ability to control the amount of sodium in the soup and they are generally more nutritious than any prepackaged ones out there. You can find low sodium stocks in the stores or you can make your own and that reduces…
  • Jungle Flames by The DNC Telephone by Lady Gaga Baby I'm a Star by Prince These are my three power songs that jump start me no matter what I'm doing.
  • Increasing your potassium levels helps alot, too. I'm not a fan of bananas, but have started adding them to my eating plan to balance out my sodium. It's a rare day that I make it to the recommended 3500 mg, but as long as my sodium numbers and potassium numbers are close, I relax. I have also reduced my sodium allowance…
  • On the first one, probably not, but cook it up and if it tastes bad, give it to the dog.;) On the other one, I have just found the wonder of brining a turkey. Adds a ton of flavor and moisture. You can find multiple recipes on google to fit your taste.
  • While sitting back in your chair with your butt at the edge, raise your knees to your chest several times. If you have a stationary chair, or can lock a rolling one, put your hands behind you and lower and raise yourself in a reverse pushup. You can find other ones on google for sit and fit exercises.
  • 1 cup is approximately 250 ml, basically a quarter of a litre. That is the measurement they mean by "cups"
