Unless you consumed three times 3500 calories (too early for me to do math) it is most likely water retention. Keep hydrated and up your potassium, and within a couple days you should be back on track. Sorry to hear about the severity of your migraine, hope they improve for you.

Totally agree with the water tip and eating before work. I work as a server in a sushi restaurant, and that's what keeps me from nibbling on the tempura prawns they keep on the counter. My only issue is my hours are messing up a regular eating schedule. My shifts start first at 11:15 to 2-2:30, then a two hour break or so…

If it's something you eat on a regular basis, or even if you are going to have it again, set it up in your recipes section.

Welcome! You will find great support here and tons of advice to if you need it. Slow and steady is best, so enjoy the journey.

Got my shred on today! Didn't stop once, which I usually have to do when I haven't been cosistant with my exercise. I just started a new job as a server in a Sushi restaurant, and I think all that walking and everything else that goes with the job has helped with my endurance. I will be mixing the shred in with my regular…

If you have a Sally Beauty Supply near you, they have a swimmers line of hair care. If not, go on their site and order online.

I like it, the first level is challenging. You will need a mat and small (2-5lb) dumbbells. I was stiff after the first go, but it was from using different muscles. Make sure you do the stretching part at the end properly, or you will be really sore! I'm looking forward to eventually getting to level 2. The more you do it,…

Edemame, it's also a complete protein.

I love the elliptical too! Lady GaGa/Beyonce "Telephone" is one of my motivational songs on there. My gym even has a recumbent elliptical, which I used when I didn't have the energy to go on the regular after my swim and strength training. Have a great time with it!

I have been doing the shred (Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD) when I can't get to the gym, does that count? If so, count me in!

Hi Welcome here, and I think you'll find a lot of support, too. I found that once I started logging in everything I was eating and drinking, it gave me the reality check I needed to see where I could make improvements. Making healthier choices as well as developing a regular fitness regime has been the best thing for me.…

I love that app too!

It does work! Set small goals, like you are doing, and you won't get overwhelmed. Good job on the lifestyle changes!

Give up all that sugar, drink lots of water, and for heaven's sake, take a before photo!

Nike+gps app if you have the iPhone. It even does indoor track and treadmill.

You almost wrote my profile! I was 93 lbs just before I got married 19 years ago, and was dealing with the effects of anorexia. During my recovery, I went up in weight to 165. I am 5', so definitely not a healthy size. What I was finally told by a trainer was that I had starved away alot of my muscle mass and that I needed…

I just finished my first run at level 1 on the 30 day shred, it kicked my butt! I will be doing it 2-3 times a week, and only moving up the levels when I'm ready. I go to the gym 3 times a week, so I'm hoping for some good results.

To remove the smell of onion and garlic off your hands, rub them with or on stainless steel ( like the inside of your kitchen sink) It might work for this, too, or scrub your hands with baking soda, that's the best odor remover I know.

It will pass, believe me! When my son was 4 he would get into stuff every Friday morning, to the point we ended up putting a lock on his door. We thought it would keep him out of dangerous situations, but he found a lighter the night before, hid it, and then pretending his bed was a birthday cake, lit his room on fire. He,…

Kamloops, BC here. That's about 4 hours northeast of Vancouver. Snow here all day, keeping warm by my woodstove. Feel free to add me for some Canadian support.

I like a stir fry of baby zucchini, red peppers, onions and ripe tomatoes. I add the tomatoes after everything else has caramelized and the cook the tomatoes down to a sauce. You can add a protien if you want, I add shrimp, and when making it for the family, I also add sliced chicken breast. Spice it up as you wish, too.

Since I've been on here, the only things that have worked is making sure I get lots of water in, eating regularity and doing some kind of activity. I started small with walking 3 km and worked up to 5 km, which I almost got to doing that in 45 minutes before the cold hit. Once I started strength training to get some muscle…

I'm from Canada, and we have already had our thanksgiving. Even with visiting family, going to a wedding and making a big dinner myself, complete with leftovers, there was no gain. I'm sure I went over on everything, but because I have made a lifestyle change, my body can handle the once in a while indulgence. Also gave me…

I don't have the issue, but just read yesterday that foods high in potassium help regulate BP. There are many sites you can google that show what foods those are, not just bananas! Hope this helps.
