My gym scales have me lighter by about 3 kilos lighter than my doctors scales. I know which I use more often, as I don't have scales at home. Prefer to measure than weigh anyway, since I use weights as well.

Without smart people we might not have many things we have today. Silent thanks to the people who risked their lives to bring us the darn luxury of electricity! Millions of people across the world live without it, STILL, in this day. Water filtration. Mmmm 26 years later, and I'm still E.Coli free! TV. Video games. MP3.…

Its good to know there is nothing wrong with the company. It seems to me that it's a bit set up like a pyramid scheme, though not exactly. The coaches take a cut of the sales made through them, and by them, they recruit other people who may also become coaches etc. I've known a coach on Facebook who was really nice and not…

I don't understand the theory behind it either, but I like to know I have earned some of my calories back and they're there if I feel I need them.

My goal calories are 1500 a day, however, some rare days I eat around 800-1000. This isn't intentional, and it's purely because I had a 'not hungry' day or have had other things which limited my food choices (for example, last night, I went out before I had dinner and ended up coming home at 10:30pm - I had planned to have…

That's how most of these things work. They increase the heart rate so raising the body's core temperature. When you start mucking around with stuff that makes your heart work faster/harder, thats when I jump ship.

Okie doke, thanks for that everyone! We don't get Shakeology in the UK, so thats one expense I've never bothered with or worried about. And since a friend gave me the other programs, I didn't really lose anything by taking them on. Anything that I've needed for them, like resistance bands, I either already had or picked up…

It takes 3 weeks for your body to notice it... And THEN it makes your metabolism increase? You know what increases your metabolism almost immediately? Exercise... Swimming, yoga, doesn't have to be hardcore. I don't recommend pills, of any form. Raspberry ketone shows absolutely no efficacy for weight loss, and there isn’t…

Rest up until you're better. Working out while ill will do you no favours. Had to take 3 weeks off in December, and had a hard time getting my back side back into action.

I shall take it as a compliment, even if it's not

I have PCOS myself.... and have had it for 14 years. The cysts may cause hormonal changes but it is the insulin resistance that causes the weight gain. Like I said, what works for one person might not work for others. Not only that, but you can have all the symptoms or you can have only a couple. I'm just saying, it's not…

I think more than anything you're going the right way about losing it, but your relationship with food is damaging. Suffering with agoraphobia doesn't help. How do you spend your time on an average day? I used to have mild agoraphobia, and I would get shopping delivered with all my favourite goodies. In the end, I had to…

In all honesty, people who are working out to death to try and combat their PCOS weight symptoms, I think your problem isn't that it's not working, it's more that you're doing too much and you're stressing your bodies. When you're stressed, your body releases hormones which tells your body to "stock up" because hard times…

If you know your heart rate roughly (you can get an iPhone app to help you with this if you have one) you can work it out here http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx The downside is that you have to keep still long enough to take a reading, making your heart…

I has a black domestic shorthaired cat called Archie. He was rescued from a woman a few towns over last year. He was 5 months old when we got him, but he's the size of a full grown cat at 7 months now. Big boy! He's a funny little bean. The lady who had him before lived on her own much of the time, or so I gathered, and I…

My ex-MIL-to be was a horror. It started off really well, we got along, joking and friendly. A couple of months after ex and I got together, his mum gave me a key to the house, stating I could only use it if I was at their house and there was no-one to let me in. I never abused this, and never let myself in without…

I don't even remember the last time I had a pre-packaged meal. I don't eat them for a couple of reasons; 1 - it is cheaper by a long way to go to a grocer, and buy fresh vegetables and fruit. That way you're sure of what you're children are eating, and the money you save by making the meals can go towards getting better…

I'd also suggest eating more. Doesn't have to be loads. Try some whole wheat toast and a banana and give it 45 minutes before exercising. You're probably feeling sick because you don't have anything to fuel your body. And don't forget that you don't want to stress the body and make it cling to any fat you have stored, by…

I think you look great now, and the progress you've made is fantastic, but I too think it's probably a little bit unrealistic and unhealthy to want to slim down even more. Enjoy your body now, you've earned it!

I don't drink water, I drink low sugar squash/ high juice/ cordial. I don't care what anyone says, water does have a flavor, and it makes me gag.

I used to be like you, I would constantly look at other women and analyse (criticize) them in my head jealously. Then I stopped saying these things like "She's so pretty" about other people and started saying them about myself. It doesn't matter what you say it about, but you have to tell yourself, and tell others good…

I do one of the most popular classes at my gym, at the most popular time of the day to do classes. We had one new member this evening. I was surprised actually, because I joined in November 2011, and so saw an influx of new members in the New Year, in the start of the summer, and they seem to try it and then come back…

Swimming is a great all over body workout, it's zero impact, and it elevates your heart rate, so it's like getting cardio in without any of the hard work

Those figures come from The British Heart Foundation, who are a leading charity in the UK who have set up a weight management scheme, to help prevent heart disease and diabetes.

Its recommended you eat between 135-250g of carbs per day, so I wouldn't say you were going over board at all You don't really want to be lowering your carb intake anyway, since carbs are what fuel the mind and body, too few can lead to a decrease in many areas of the body's performance. It's recommended you eat 7 portions…

It's very easy to get hold of 'Banned' products in the UK, there are many websites who will quite happily ship you products such as you described under false names to get around such issues. The issue is, losing weight so quickly doesn't keep the weight off, and as I tell anyone who asks how I do it, "The only secret is…

900 calories does look like little, and even I don't like it but when your food choices are low calorie, I'd rather be eating more nutritional food than food that is just high in calories. It doesn't make me "wrong," and it doesn't make what I'm doing "wrong" especially since it's like one day a week that I might eat so…
