I'm really surprised by all the people who are saying they would never comment on hair, clothes, etc., and even find that rude. I compliment strangers all the time! Just last week I saw someone with the most gorgeous curly hair, and I told her so. She beamed and thanked me. I love when people compliment me on my hair,…

I did it last year and I loved it! My psoriasis cleared up, I slept very well (my husband said my catathrenia--a type of apnea -- also virtually disappeared), and I also lost 14 lbs. My sister finds it very good for controlling her migraines. I loved the food I could eat; eggs, bacon (I ate prosciutto instead), sausage,…

You should still be able to edit it. You get one hour from when you made the initial post...

I struggled with bingeing for a couple of years recently, (even attended a weekly support group) but to be honest, what really helped me to get control of it was when I did Whole30 last summer. It was really weird, I tried the Whole30 for the allergen/health reasons (it cleared up my psoriasis and I discovered some food…

Can you find a workout buddy? That will be free motivation. :)

PS I did a round of Whole30 last summer, and the first few days were tough, but after that I found it really easy and I actually loved the food I was eating. Try prosciutto instead of bacon...you can have loads more! In 30 days my psoriasis went away on all my extremities (it's only still very slightly on my scalp) and has…

I have a "treat drawer" for the kids. It's actually a Rubbermaid tote that is tucked in a cupboard, and every morning I take out one treat (chocolate dipped granola bars, rice krispie squares, small chip bags, ring pops, etc.) for each of the kids. For the rest of the day they can eat yogurt, fruits, veggies, etc. This…

I did CrossFit for three years before the gym across the road closed. So sad. :( In response to Myles' question, I always wore my heart rate monitor, and on average I burned about 10 calories per minute doing the WOD portion of the workout (I didn't use the HRM for the lifting portion, just counted the burn there as…

I have been on Seasonique for several years now, and I love it. It is a 90 day cycle, but within the first few cycles I pretty much stopped getting my period altogether. When I went off of the pill for two months (long story, nothing to do with the pill) my period came right back as normal, so it doesn't appear to mess…

I spend about $900-1200 a month for a family of 7, including cleaning products, personal hygiene, all the extras. I don't buy very much meat because we do butcher a couple of pigs each year, and we have our own laying hens for eggs. We only eat out as a family about one a year, if that (yes, you read that right!) and we…

My microwave is mostly just for reheating and defrosting, except for two major exceptions which happen to be my five children's favorite meals...fruity bread pudding (breakfast) and saucy meatloaf (dinner). Yummy!!!

I have lost and gained many times over, and I can't say that I've ever really noticed a difference in how others treat me. But then, I am almost 5'11" so even at my heaviest I do carry it pretty well. Sadly, my husband is the one who treats me differently when I'm big. :(

Don't start it until after the trip... its not worth it! I thought I was doing really well adjusting to it at first, and then it hit . . . cramps, nausea and diarrhea at least 2-3 days every week for the whole time while I was dosing up to full dose. I understand the desire to start right away, but it will ruin your…

I know my mom (37 years since her diagnosis) had stretchy bands that hooked on the top of a door and she would just do some arm and / or leg exercises depending on how much strength she had that particular day. She would sit while doing this in order to focus her energy just on the exercising muscles. Maybe something to…

Oh wow, I super need this accountability help. So excited to register! Do you run one every month, or is this just a summertime thing?
-
You're welcome to add me! Just getting serious again, and have about 90-100 lbs to lose.
-
Ancaster, just down the road from you. :)

Great story, and glad to hear you're doing so well now. Thanks for sharing!

I'm 5'10" and wearing a 20/22 at 255lbs. At my lightest adult weight (post kids) about 6 years ago I was 175 and size 14.

I'm late to start, but I'd still love to do this! I'm Chandra, in Ontario, Canada, and I have about 80lbs to lose. 50 by Christmas would be lovely! SW: 254.2 CGW: 204.2 GW: 175

Sounds like me! Married 21 years, mom of 5 (19,17,15,12,9), teacher, looking to lose 80lbs. Also looking for friends with similar life/experience/stats...

Congrats, well done! Just one word of caution, please do watch that you don't overdo it with the water consumption. Both my mother and a friend had problems with electrolyte imbalance because they drank too much water. Not sure how much is too much, but 150oz just sounds like an awful lot to me...

I second the recommendation of chili. When I'm in a crunch, the chili from Wendy's is delicious, completely satisfying, and wonderfully light on the calories.

I've just spent the last hour reading about IF, and now I'm planning to start with 16:8 IF tomorrow. Too late to start today, as I've already had breakfast. I know that this will be totally do-able for me though, as I often can go long periods without eating when I'm busy, gardening, or whatever. Plus, I'm on…

I have been on this also for five weeks and am seeing consistent weight loss. I am on Cipralex for anxiety/depression and have had no issues.

I take it before bed and I don't have any trouble with fatigue. I did a little bit the first couple of weeks but I was also going to bed really late, so it was my own fault.

@EbonyDahlia. Yes, she could have proofread. But for you to say that you don't know what half of her post says is a lie, unless you're of sub-average intelligence. Your comment was unkind and uncalled for. OP, I feel your pain. I also have an addictive personality and was diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder last year. I…
