once open they can be kept at room temperature up to 30 days.

It's not different lighting, it's just that it's taken with a digital camera and the camera selected a different Kelvin temperature for white balance in each photo (portrait photographer here). The teeth are an obvious indicator - green (cool temperature) on the left and orange (warm temperature) on the right...And…

I have discovered over the years that I am a scientific mystery...I will often weight myself as soon as I get up, before going to the bathroom, then again after I have gone, just out of curiosity to see how much difference it makes. Without fail, if I only go pee, I will weigh less after I pee...however, if I do a #2, I…

I have always thought I was just a smidge shy of 5'11" and just found out at the DR's office this week that I'm only 5'9 3/4". Hard to wrap my brain around that...

Not a dumb question! It's essentially the same as what the whole group here does, just on a one-on-one basis. So you might have your food diaries and profiles open to each other, check in with each other every day or so, give support if one of you is feeling weak or tempted, and do a weekly photo weigh-in. Just adds an…

Sorry, I said that wrong. What I meant was that I would gain weight with each pregnancy, and then successfully lose it again each time, but I found that with each progressive pregnancy and with my increasing age, I found it more difficult each time. During those years of pregnancies, I did not deprive or yo-yo, I attended…

That's my story exactly. Except that I've gained 75 pounds in about 4 years. And 20+ of that is in the last 3-4 months while going through marriage counseling. I am seeing my doctor next week, but I've done the online tests and have a binge-eating book and he will really only be confirming what I already know. <sigh>

I LOVE My Crossfit gym, and I second everything said above. <3

Re: psoriasis...I have had psoriasis since I was in my mid-teens (thankfully just smallish patches here and there, not large rashes) but last month I decided to go sugar and sweetener free for one month just as a personal challenge, and within a week my spots were almost completely cleared up! I was totally amazed and it…

Just finished a week of no sugar or artificial sweeteners, and I feel great!

Laura, see my reply a couple of pages back. :)

With all due respect, as the daughter and niece of longtime wheelchair bound women (advanced MS), you are incorrect in your statement. The only handicapped-related facility that is exclusively for handicapped users (and is thus protected by law) is handicapped parking. Ramps, toilets, elevators, support bars, and so on are…

I've managed to do ten consecutive double-unders three times now in the last few days! :)

Hey Tom, congrats for posting, and welcome to the club! One suggestion as far as exercise, is that you get some Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds dvds. I may be wrong, but I am guessing that at your weight, you will be limited in the exercises that you can do. Leslie's walks start at one mile (15 minutes) and can be done…

Xylitol is plant based and is also very good for dental hygiene. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xylitol

This is a huge family favourite!! All five of our kids l.o.v.e. it, so I'm sure yours will too. Baked Oatmeal Mix together: 1/2 cup oil (I substitue 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce) 1/3 cup sugar 1Tbsp baking powder 1tsp salt 2 eggs 1 cup skim milk 3 cups oatmeal (we like the texture of large flake the best) 1 cup (or more)…

Check out Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds system. It's a fantastic way to start off, and is gentle on the knees. You can try a one-mile sample at http://www.walkathome.com/try-walk-at-home/ , or there are several longer/harder videos uploaded to YouTube.

I don't care for that taste of Stevia at all. Xylitol is fabulous (although I hate the chemical sounding name!)...it's a natural sweetener (mostly extracted from the birch tree), and its granular like sugar and tastes just like sugar. On top of that, it's recommended by dentists to promote dental health! If you watch…

Hey Andrea, good to see you here! Love #1, that's not who I think it is, all grown up already, is it??!!!

I'm a professional portrait photographer in South-western Ontario, Canada. You can take a look at my work at www.chandravanderboomphotography.com. I am a Canon girl, shooting with a 5D classic and a whole slew of lenses, although my current favourite is my 70-200mm 2.8L series. First time posting pictures on here, let's…
