Welcome Allen! This is a great place to learn, and to meet a lot of inspiring people. Feel free to friend me if you would like. :-)

Drink more water. Also, if you're still hungry, why not just up your calories to 1500/day? 1200 is the BARE minimum, and if you're always eating the bare minimum, how can you adjust your diet if/when you hit a plateau? I'm eating 1650/day, plus whatever workout calories I have. And I'm still losing on average, 2.5 lbs per…

That's awesome! I can't wait until I can buy bras in a regular store without having to search and search and search for the right size.

Unfortunately, you can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves. For me, I had to see pictures of me from a friends wedding where I thought I looked H-O-T, and I very obviously didn't. Since her wedding, I've lost 6 lbs. My father was morbidly obese for the majority of the time I've been alive. He was depressed,…

I'm sorry, but all I could do was laugh at "I'm fat because I eat little children". That's freaking hilarious!! And that kid definately deserved it. However. People who point and laugh at you are *kitten*. If my kids ever behaved like that towards anyone, fat, skinny, tall, short, disabled, etc., they'd learn very quickly…

Welcome Terry!! This is a wonderful place to be. The people here are awesome!!

*hugs* I am SO very sorry. My father passed away from complications due to congestive heart failure, diabetes, and obesity. It's so hard when you lose someone whos life could have been saved had they treated their bodies differently.

What kind of scale do you have?

Mine was when I really looked at myself in pictures, not just in the mirror. I have this image of myself in my head that I'm hot, and that I look good. But when I saw myself in pictures, I was appalled. Like, seriously. It was awful. I really have been feeling like a huge hippo. So I've joined a gym, and I've seen steady…

Welcome!! This is a really great place. Feel free to friend me!

Awesome job!! And don't you love kids? LOL

All I'm seeing is that you're eating fruits, which totally add to your sugar. Unfortunately, MFP doesn't discern between sugar from fruit and sugar from junk food. I would take one of your servings of fruit, and replace it with veggies, and see if that helps.

No. As long as you stay under your calories, you'll be fine. :-)

For me, I really do need the gym. I LOVE going to the gym. I can take my kids, drop them off in child care, and do what I need to do. I tried working out at home, but I never stuck with it. Now that I'm paying per month, I feel like I have to go, and I do go.

I think that while you've done an amazing job, saying that you were a fat hog at 140 lbs isn't right. It makes those of us who are still struggling to lose weight, and who are well over 200 lbs, feel like crap about ourselves. I honestly thought you were joking, but I can see that you're serious. At 19, I was also…

From what I understand, it's a lot of weight training so you get your core strong, and the more you do, the more your skin will tighten up.

Counting calories is really the only way you can know if you're eating enough. I count calories, but not in an obsessive way. I just make sure that what I'm eating is under a certain number of calories, and not high in sodium. I also work out, but again, not obsessively. I work out every other day, and on days I'm not…

I am a new runnere, and I've found that while I work out every other day, I cannot run every other day. I'm running twice a week, and doing walking terrains the other two days. My calves really cannot take running every other day. I think that as long as you aren't hurting too much, do whatever you think your body can…

*hugs* It can become hard. You really do have to figure out what works BEST for YOU. Not what works best for someone else. Good luck!!
-
*hugs* It's HARD with kids. I have 3 little ones myself. I think for you, your best bet will be to get up 45 minutes earlier than you are now, and do your work out then. I'm lucky enough to be able to stay home, so I go to the gym after my kids have had breakfast. But before I joined the gym, it was really hard to fit it…

For me, carbs are VERY important. I cannot do a low carb diet. If I do, I'm starving all the time. I don't eat an excessive amout of carbs, but I do have them with every meal. I've had no issues losing weight while eating what I'm eating. It really depends on your body and what it does with carbs. I haven't had a chance to…

I weigh myself a few times a week, but I do my official weigh on on Fridays (since I joined the gym last friday, no other reason than that). I weigh through out the week just to make sure I'm doing things right, not holding on to too much water weight.

Off the bat, you're eating WAY too much sugar. You also don't seem to have much in the way of fruits or veggies. Cut down on the sugar, and up your fruits and veggies intake.

That's AWESOME! Those seats are tiny.

Like the PP said, it's more about portion control than what you're actually eating. Instead of constantly munching, or having plates and plates full of food, have ONE plate. One beer. You can indulge without going overboard.

I haven't been a 10 for a very long time, but even at a size 10, I would still be considered overweight. However, I'm 5'6", so 125 is ideal for me.

Welcome Erin! Feel free to add me! We're all on different parts of our journey, but we all have the same goal: being healthy. :-) This is a GREAT place to be. VERY supportive!

Without seeing your journal, I can't really give you any advice. It really depends on what your calorie goal is, and how much under you're eating. If you're set at 1200, you need to NET at the very least 1200 per day. NEVER EVER go under that. That means that if you work out, you have to still eat at least 1200 cals. Eat…

My average is 2 lbs per week, although I'm set on 1 lb/week. I find that when I eat more than the recommended 1200 calories, I lose weight. Right now, I'm at 1690, and I've lost 2 lbs this week working out every other day.
