The best way is to get a heart rate monitor.

Way to be supportive. OP, it's hard when you're giving up anything, but especially sugary things. Don't think about tomorrow or next week, just take it one day at a time, or one meal at a time. You can do it!!!
-
I'm sure you could! I haven't done it yet, but I don't see why not.

It's so hard, especially when you're so close but you're not seeing the results you want. I just took a week off because I was having such a hard time staying motivated. But here I am! If you're having issues, try taking a week off. Not necessarily to binge eat, but to not have such strict food guidelines. Let your body…

You need to drink more water when you work out. Otherwise you'll retain water, and not lose weight.

If you're part of a gym, see if they have a Body Pump class or a kettle bell class. Those will both tone you up amazingly well. :-)

I have an Instep Safari Double, and I LOVE IT. I ordered it from Walmart.com, and in total (including shipping) I paid $175. The Instep Safari has a front wheel that can be a swivel or locked, so you can use it as a regular stroller as well (which is what we do). I did a quick search on Walmart.com, and here's the link:…

Lets put aside the processed foods for a minute. You are not eating NEARLY enough. The bare minimum a human should eat is 1200 calories, but for most people, it's much higher. You need to figure out what your BMR is, and that will tell you what YOUR lowest calorie count should be. Remember that everyone is different. For…

Unfortunately, you can't make him do anything he doesn't want to do. I don't keep crap food in the house, I make good healthy meals, and yet my DH still manages to gain weight. However, I know that my husband is depressed, so once we get him over the hump, I think he'll start wanting to work out. Just keep doing what…

I have mirena. I've had it for 18 months now, and I haven't had any real issues with losing weight. I'm considering having it removed because I don't particularly want the hormones, but for now, it's staying put.

The biggest problem that I've had in the past is finding things that I enjoy to do, working out wise. If I don't really enjoy it, I won't do it. Then I won't log it (or anything else), and off the wagon I go. Feel free to friend me!

That's so awesome!!

Anything that's processed will be really high in sodium. I try to keep mine around 1500 mg/day, so I rarely eat processed foods.

I like having toast and chobani yogurt and a protein smoothie. That keeps me full for ages. :-)

You need to be net-ing at least 1200 calories. That's why you're not losing. Eat more!! You'll lose more. :-)
-
*hugs* I totally get how impatient you are. :-) It's hard when you don't really see the changes. But remember that this is a journey, not a race. The slower you lose it, the more likely it is to stay off. Last year, I lost about 25 lbs in 6 weeks. I gained 15 back. :-( This time, I'm going slow and steady. It's more about…

You're probably not eating enough. I've found that what MFP gives you is not enough. You really need to figure out your BMR, and get your calories from there. For me, at 212.8 lbs, according to MFP, I should be eating 1650/day to lose 1 lb a week. But if I take it up to 2 lbs/week, I'm down to 1200. 1200 is the BARE…

I walk differently the more weight I lose, and I stand up straighter.

That's adorable!!!

I personally like the Monster Rehab. It's like 10 calories per serving, and it doesn't just give energy, it also rehydrates you, and it's not carbonated (which is what I HATE about regular energy drinks).

Mine are body proportionate. At 228 lbs, I was a 40 or 42 DD. At 212, I'm a 38DD. When I was around 175-ish (I never used to weigh myself), I was a 36C/D. At my smallest (that I can remember), I was 120 lbs, and a 36B.

You may want to think about upping your calories a little bit. 1200 is the bare minimum a human should eat, and each persons needs are different. That being said, you should do your best to stretch your calories out during the day, not saving them for one meal.

Welcome! I'm also 26, and a mommy, but I have 3. This is a great place to be!! Feel free to friend me if you'd like. :-)

There's not much in the way of veggies, and you're eating way too much sugar. You have to eat right along with working out.

When we eat at home, I only have healthy foods, so there is a bit of spontenaity. When we go out to eat, I make sure that we go to a place that either offers mostly healthy foods, or that has their calorie counts in their menus so that I can get something that is good for me but within my calories. I haven't had any issues…

Wow! What a difference! You look awesome!!!!!

Well, first of all, WELCOME BACK!! Now, get rid of all the junk in the house. ALL OF IT. Just toss it in the trash and leave it there. Then replace it with fruits and veggies. It's fine to have a little junk here or there if you can handle it, but if not, it's better to avoid it at all costs. However, if you have a bad…

My gym has childcare, so I take my kids, put them in there, and do my workout. I generally go around 8 am after everyone has eaten breakfast. It gives all of us time away from each other, they get to play with other kids, and I get to do my thing for a while.
-
I keep a protein bar in my back pack. I eat about 30 minutes after my workout (I shower at the gym) as I'm leaving the gym.

1200 is the BARE minimum that you should be eating. Most people work better on a few hundred more calories per day. I have my goal set for 1 lb per week, and I'm eating 1650 calories per day. But with my working out, I'm losing around 2.5 lbs per week.
