  • Welcome:flowerforyou:
  • I was just going over this in my head yesterday....funny you mention this topic today:) Last May of 08 I was at my heaviest weight of 198lbs. I haven't lost but 8 lbs, but I didn't start trying until late Oct and then holidays messed me up. But I have to tell you even 8lbs makes a difference. I think more than the weight,…
  • You just keep it up, my friend! Congratulations!:flowerforyou:
  • I know those machines can be wrong! I used them for 8 months before buying a HRM and boy was I shocked!! The HRM is the way to go!!
  • Thank you! Makes perfect sense to me...maybe I should up my exercise a little then! I usually burn between 3-400/day and I also eat those back, so it should start working soon....surely :)
  • You sound just like me! I have to weigh over and over until I know for sure:) I kept on getting 190.5 this morning, so I'm guessing that's my true weight! Good for you! I bet you'll be there by Saturday!! Let us know:flowerforyou:
  • I have a goal to be 189 by Valentine's Day and I weigh 190.5:grumble: I will have to lose 1.5lbs this week to get there....I'm GOING to reach this goal one way or the other if that scale has to show 189.9 :explode: Anyone else close to a mini goal? If so, what are you doing this week?
  • I know that we have a heart rate "zone" we are suppose to be in during exercise and mine is just 137-144, but I work out with a heart rate of 159-172! Could this possibly be why I'm not getting anywhere? I just can't seem to shake the lbs and I'm searching for solutions now. Also, what is the difference in "Weightloss…
  • Mine would be 1. Heart and Soul Dancing (burns 300 cal in 20-25 min) 2. Elliptical (burns 347 in 30 min according to HRM) 3. Step (close to 400 in 40 min) Then of course, any gym class that I can work out with a group and walking!
  • It sounds like he may have lost a special person!! :flowerforyou: Hope you recover fast and focus on the "new" you!! ***hugs***
  • Good for you:love: Be sure to kick those lbs to the curb as they fall off so they don't jump on those of us coming behind you! JK....you're doing great!
  • Ever since basketball season started back in Oct, I have totally given up the famous Nachos w/cheese that I used to eat at every game! This season its been popcorn and water..:grumble: I've done really good resisting the temptation of the past! Tonight we have a distance to travel to a ballgame and DH wants to run by Arbys…
  • Same thing here! Yes, it is frustrating, but I know I'm doing the right thing and I'm not going to give up! Just try not to compare yourself to others. It's 3 lbs less than what we were carrying a month ago!!
  • Thanks everyone for the encouragement! TOM slipped upon me and I'm thinking that's where the two lbs are coming from! I just get in such a hurry to lose and I guess if we gained as fast as some have lost, we'd all be in bad shape:tongue: I need to practice patience! I do feel somewhat better this morning- my clothes don't…
  • Hey, You've lost 29lbs!!!!! Look at it like a "oops" weekend and move on- we all have those moments!!
  • l:love:  king good!!!!!!
  • Welcome:flowerforyou: I wish you the best on your new journey!!
  • Good for you! You are losing and that's great!! Hope you enjoy your vacation:)
  • I have no idea what's going on with my body! I lose 5lbs and then gain 2lbs and holding there steady! Here's my routine: My calorie setting is at a loss of 1lb/week at 1460 calories. Any exercise that I do bumps that up of course. I have been doing a "definitions" class 2 days a week (strength training) and cardio for…
  • This was on AOL today and I thought I'd share for those who might need some new ideas:tongue: 1. Banana: Portable, peelable and around 100 calories. It's a good source of fiber, potassium and is rich in vitamin B6, which regulates blood glucose levels and keeps your moods at an even keel. 2. Lions and tigers and bears: Oh,…
  • OH, I'M GLAD YOU ASKED!!! I  mine SO much!! I just got through telling my DH last night that it was the best $109.00 I've ever spent on myself! I would not even consider being without one now. It has kept me on track more than anything! That's weird how that works, but very motivational for me!
  • Exactly my thoughts!! I can live without it (money) if they can live with it in the way it was taken from me!!
  • Thank you! I have always been leary and reserved when it comes to personal info, but this one just got away from me before it hit me what was happening! I hope to feel better about it tomorrow! I've had a GREAT reality wake-up call!
  • No, I didn't know this person....but this person now has my address, phone number and name + a little money!:grumble:
  • I hate to admit it, but I was! It's a sickening feeling. Don't know who to trust and who not to and it's left me feeling "empty". It could have been so much worse, but I've had no appetite all day long because of it! I have like 1250 cal left and I've already had lunch and breakfast! I worked out on the elliptical this…
  • Never heard of Claim Jumper...what kind of food do they serve?
  • Well, Memaw......:drinker: you hang in there and keep on resisting those nasty things!!!! One moment of indulgence is not worth ruining your day....Good for you for having the resistance guard around you today:)
  • Way to go! We all have those days we are less proud of! Give yourself credit for the other 29/30 days that you did so great!!!! It shows with a 10lb loss. Keep it up:flowerforyou:
  • I have been told from other knowledgable people that you don't count your normal routines for exercise. Your body is use to "functioning" through the daily chores and to count that would only hurt yourself. I don't know if that's true or not, but I have never counted that just to be safe. Maybe someone "more in the know"…
