Thank you all for your replies! It's so encouraging to hear from you

thank you all for the comments! I did think of water retention after posting the topic! I just weighed the same for two weeks straight and then two days into workout it goes up 2lbs. I'm not going to let it get me, fixing to work out!! Thanks again

I want to start tonight also, but the last time I attempted it, I too, like the other poster, couldn't get through all the jumping jacks! That is pretty sad, haha I'm still trying to decide. I even watched the video to pump myself up and tell myself I can do this, but man, if I stop...what then? I wonder if I could push…

I love this post!!! I feel your excitement! You make me want to hit the gym :)

oh boy, yes I can relate- I think I'm on the right track now and I will tell you what has been working for me! 1) Cokes- I love them!! I had tried diet drinks, water, juice, and tea..and I found that I wasn't happy with those because I really wanted a coke and wasn't allowing myself to have one. So for me, that was a…

I personally don't count calories! I eat a nice breakfast, a smaller lunch, a snack (usually fruit) and then portion control at dinner! So far I've lost at least 1lb/week which is exactly what I'm after :) I think you find what works for your body! I did try counting calories and it drove me up the wall, so I listen to my…

Just did and it looks amazing! Maybe just what I need to get started! Thank you :)

Wonderful!! Good job and I know you feel great in those capris :)

You may want to read the post again :) never said anything about giving up and if it didn't matter, I wouldn't be asking for explanation. You may be a pro at weight loss; however, I'm not and with all respect, I'm trying and it does matter

So does strength training burn more calories than a cardio workout? and THANK YOU for all your answers above!

I don't eat my exercise calories either ;) thought I was the only one! So, to record 230 cal for 4oz (roast w/ vegies) sounds right? There are so many in the food diary, it's hard to know for sure.

I'm inspired by reading your stories! I hope I can post one in a few weeks!! Thank you all for the encouragement!

I'm not sure, but I have always been told that you don't count the general movements your body is already use to, but I could be wrong, that's just what I've always heard- someone more educated in this field should probably answer this :)

MFP has me at 1300 calories, so I will try that I guess for now :) Thanks for your post! Lots of good information and I can use all I can get

I have a few in my closet waiting on this very moment!!! Congrats to you:)

Congratulations!

First of all, congratulations on your 7 lb loss! I think the chocolate yells our names out more often than not!! The thing that has helped me the most in the last 7 weeks when this happens is to make myself understand before I eat a piece of chocolate, that it is the ONLY piece I'm going to have. I also have little will…

Yes! If there is a specific craving I have through the week, I wait until the weekend to enjoy it, but only for a meal. I don't go crazy for the whole weekend. I haven't deprived myself of anything and I have continually lost 1.5 lbs each week. If it works for you then do it, if not then don't!

It definately holds longer than most breakfast foods! I eat it every single morning and love it!

WOW! And to think some were posting at the same time, so it's actually MORE!! Way to go Friends!!!!!

Thanks for all your advice! I have decided that p90x is NOT where I'm going right now :) I guess I sounded a little lazy and I'm really not- I live on a farm and I'm forever out with the animals feeding, walking, sometimes running after some or whatever the case, even going up in the hills to check on the cattle daily, so…

My thoughts exactly! Good luck

Where there's a will, there's a way!

well, I was hoping for at least 2 or 3 lbs because it's been forever since I've lost any due to my lack of effort, but to my surprise I have lost 9 lbs since Jan 3! Not too bad....I'll take it! Getting ready for February now

So I can think about something besides losing weight!

I like anything that doesn't get hard 5 minutes into chewing and leaves a fresh taste in my mouth! I'm a big gum chewer:tongue:

I usually don't have a cheat day, but a "cheat" meal which sounds like what you have had! If I crave something really bad, I will allow myself that meal, but only once a week right now! Yesterday was my twin daughters b-day and so I knew we were eating out last night so I planned for that meal and the small piece of cake…
