Have your doctor check that you are not anemic. If you are not consistently consuming iron rich foods and/or lose large amounts of blood each month, you could be anemic. Kale, black beans, spinach are foods high in iron that I consume on a daily basis.

Congrats! You did it EXACTLY right! You look great! Strength training will help prevent the weakening of your bones as you get older, tighten your body, and just make you feel fantastic. I know just what you mean about your eating evolving during the process and how it rubs off on your family. I went through the same thing.

Make sure you are eating back the calories you burn running. You want your net calories to be 1200 (calories eaten minus calories burned). Hopefully you have a good heart rate monitor like Polar, to know what you are burning.

Chest strap. I have the Polar F4 and love it.

Fantastic job! You did it exactly as I did, and what I advise people to do all of the time. You look great! And Happy Birthday!

As a person having been to the ER 4 times over 8 years passing kidney stones, starting at age 31, I can testify to the truth of what you have been told. The stones form due to acidity and I was told to limit my protein to less than 15% and my sodium to less than 1500 mg. I have done both for the past 2 years, and the…

For everyone who says they hate oatmeal, I am wondering if they have ever had steel cut oats, or groats? It is a completely different texture and somewhat chewy. Not at all like instant or rolled oats. I love for breakfast or lunch, 1.5 servings of steel cut oats, with 1/3 of chopped apple, 15 grams chopped walnuts, and 1…

I have been eating vegan since September 2010. My diary is public. I also just joined a closed group on Facebook called 'Vegan Support Group'. http://www.facebook.com/groups/143624349071213/

I had the depo shot once about 12 years ago. I don't recall weight issues, but I do recall it turning me into the devil for the entire 3 months. I would NEVER recommend it to ANYONE. Regarding your kidney stones, I have passed four kidney stones over the past 8 years. After passing the 3rd one, I had 7 stones left. One in…

PrincessEliNa - 10, I love the mask! :-)

It doesn't matter what the ratios are, as long as you stay within your calorie goal. I had/have to limit my protein to 15% due to kidney stones, and I lost 37 pounds by staying with 1200 net calories.

Don't tan. You will regret it and look 10 years older than you are in your 40s. I was spray tanned once for a physique challenge at our gym, and I won't do it again either. I just look white and do not mind as I would rather not have cancer and wrinkles.
