Thanks for the input. I am totally pumped about starting this. My family is doing it with me.

Congratulations! I did my first day today too! I didn't quite make all the running, but I'm amazed I did as much as I did.

I ate 1200-1300 and lost 68lbs. I then hit a plateau so I decided to go into maintenance for a while. I've been eating 1400-1600 for the last 5 months. I fluctuated up and down the same 2-3 lbs while doing this. I'm so pleased my weight is stable for the first time in my life. This week I've gone back to 1200 to try and…

I've logged 445 days, and lost 71 lbs.

It comes under walking. Just pick a speed that is closest to watch you walk at.

Amazing, you look incredible! I went plant based a year ago! Best thing I ever did!

We went 'vegan' over a year ago. My 13 year old son has never been so healthy. The only thing we supplement is B12. Our family as a whole have seen very positive health benefits. Our extensive blood work has never looked so good. As long as her diet is varied and balanced she would have no problems. I did lots of reading…

This was a great read. I watched the same movie. It changed my life along with my families. I have never had such good blood work and health checks as over the last year. I am a new person!

Im 5"6, I've gone from a 1X to a M/L top depending on the store, and from size 20 to 12/14 in pants.

Wow, you look amazing. You're such an inspiration!

Thanks guys!

This week I made it into the 170's for the first time in 14+ years. I am so happy!

I started July 1st 2011. I have logged every single day for 53 weeks! I've lost 53 lbs. My ticker shows a little more because I lost some weight before starting on MFP. I still have about 20 lbs to go.
-
Congratulations! I am at 181.4. I can't wait to hit the 170's!, I'm hoping for the 160's by Christmas.
-
Keep up the good work, you can really see a difference!
-
Very inspiring, keep up the good work!

We drink almond milk, flax milk, and rice milk. We occasionally buy the almond chocolate milk for a treat!

Fantastic, what a great feeling!

Thanks for the link. I will stick with it!

Bump, thanks!

I weigh 3-4 times a week, but only log what I weigh on a Friday morning.

I log everything, if I don't I feel like I'm cheating myself. My veggies account for 200-300 calories per day, my numbers would be off if I didn't log them.

This is a great thread and very well explained. I know from my personal experience the weeks I eat most, if not all my exercise calories back I lose more weight.

I've lost 46lbs using my fitness pal. I bought new clothes after losing 30lbs, it was a big mistake! I have lost 16lbs since buying them and I now need more new clothes. My sizes are changing fast. I still have about 30lbs to go.I would suggest buying just a few, it will make you feel so good!

This is a great thread, I am learning so much!

When I hit a plateau I upped mine from 1200 to 1400/1500 for two weeks. I lost 3lbs in that 2 weeks. I then set it at 1300 and have continued to lose weight at an average of 1lb per week. I eat back most of my exercise calories. When I hit another plateau I will do the same again.

I did complete the shred. My muscles really hurt till day 4, and then it was like nothing had happened. Work through it. It will be worth it!

I couldn't agree more with this. My whole family and extended family have changed to this way of eating for about 9 months now. We have never had so much energy and great lab results! I would also add, make sure you are eating and drinking enough.
