Ps - Almonds and avocado are great for bumping your calories up - in a healthy way!

Hi, you can add me and take a look at my diary if you wish, I usually list all the ingredients down and then in the food notes I write what the meal actually was! I'm in the UK so you may not be able to get some of the same things as me?? - you'll notice I eat a LOT of quinoa as this is a great protein as it has all the…

Great advice about starting light and taking it from there - thank you for your help:-)

Thanks so much for sharing your story - great to hear that someone has been on a personal journey and come out the otherside in a better place - well done! :flowerforyou:

Thanks for this! Just had a look, I came out at 286.5 cals for my usual swim. MFP has me at 226 cals for swimming crawl at light / moderate effort and 323 cals for fast / vigorous effort (which is how I've always logged as I do seem to swim fast compared to most people) so the calculation puts me just over half way between…

Hi, well done on the swimming! I'd also be interested to see if anyone knows of a proper calculation that takes into account the distance swam over the time period. I swim a mile in just over 30 minutes (crawl), which I know is faster than most people in my pool, so therefore I too am also putting in great effort, however…

In for later.....thanks all :)

YES!!! It's the worst thing in the world - EVER!! People sucking their fingers clean, eating noisily, eating with mouth open, double dipping food, all just WRONG - I am cringing at the thought of this! Didn't know it had a name though!!!!

Hi! Well done for your post - was interesting to read because I have been in the same mindset before where I just don't care how much I eat because I just LOVE food! But I worked really hard to remind myslef when I was pigging out that there ARE calories in food and too many of them make you put on weight. So now I try and…

In addition, yes ACV is the only one you can use, it helps to improve it. Also try Pau D'Arco capsules or tea along with the good probiotic. Forgot to add, plain, unsweetened natural yoghurt is good (only dairy you should have) as it's full of good bugs!

Just stumbled across this old post. The reason you need to avoid dairy is because of the sugar in it - lacTOSE, same as frucTOSE, gluCOSE etc. I have been doing anti Candida for about 3 years (had some time off as I thought I'd cleared it, but think it's coming back so I'm going to get strict again.) Hope you're managing…

Sounds like you are doing great - well done! Don't worry about a number on a scale, no one knows it but you!! But other people will be able to see that you look 2 sizes smaller! Did you take before and after pics? If so why not have a look at them and remind yourself just how much you've achieved. My cousin was shocked…

Is that US sizes? I'm in the UK so a 6 is tiny here (US 2 I think?!) I bet you'll notice a difference when after a week or so :)
-
ps, have you worked out your BMR and TDEE - I used TDEE minus about 15% whilst i was doing it I think - which was around 1600 for me
-
I found myself getting really hungry!! I was doing this 5 days a week, swimming 3 times a week and a one hr dance class, so a fair amount of exercise. I think I was eating about 1600 (in total, so not eating exercise cals back on top). I listened to my body and made sure I ate when I felt I needed to. I was pretty much at…

hiya, I started at a normal weight and already exercised a lot, but it still made a difference to my shape and made me feel a lot firmer. I had some muscle anyway from years of exercise so it didn't take long for it to show again. Stick with it and you'll start to see and feel a difference pretty quickly! I started to feel…

Do it! I swim 3 times a week and see all shapes and sizes. I see a lot of people who you think look fit really struggle to do 1length so size is no indication of swimming ability or fitness! Hope you enjoy it :)
-
Very well done! You look fab, lovely smile

yep can deffo see a difference :-) Well done

WOW!!!! One of the most dramatic before and afters I've seen! Big well done to you :-) x
-
Hiya, I'm in the UK and make most things from scratch, feel free to add me :-) Just noticed on your profile you are on Candida diet......I had to do that for a couple of years for health reasons.... it's tough :-( Not as strict now as I got better but I still avoid sugar and yeast as much as I can now so I don't get ill…

I really want it done, I put on weight so easily and I eat very well, exercise 4 / 5 times a week and don't drink. There is no reason I can think of why I put on weight so easily (like over Christmas or holidays for instance) other than a messed up metabolism from years of eating under 1000 cals (before I knew better.) I…

Just seen they do just the RMR test, daily calorific burn and a nutritional plan for £75 http://www.provo2.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=35&product_id=51

Bump for suggestions where to have this done in the UK. I did find the website I've linked below a while back and thought it looked really interesting.....but expensive...£180 :grumble: It works out your RMR and fat burning zones, plus other useful stuff, and a nutritional plan…

I put them in my home made muesli but you can use them in baking, on salads, smoothies, anyhow you like really. If you are going out check your teeth in the mirror after eating them cos they got stuck everywhere lol
