Hi OP, sorry to hear about your problems. Your post caught my eye as I am from Epping - hi! As you know, we aren't getting much sunlight in the UK at the mo....hurry up spring! I sit in front of a light box during the winter. I don't think it actually helps you make vitamin D, but it does help regulate your circadian…

Hello :-) I don't have any advice for you I'm afraid as I am also in the same boat as you, but I wanted to say I know how hard and frustrating it is to have to keep at this. I am also the same height as you, and have gone from 175 to 124 and everything in between. And I've gained and lost and gained and lost. My weight…

Me too, 38 is also the lowest I've seen on me. Sitting around also around mid 40's, if I am driving for instance I go up to 50. It means I often get dizzy when I stand up too quickly. When I exercise hard I go up to about 165.

Thanks for this great tip! I am now going to think up my own and change my way of thinking :-)

Hello, your calories and diet sound very similar to mine. I have been wondering the same so thanks for asking the question! I eat lots of coconut oil (in smoothies), olive oil, avocado, almonds, houmous, eggs. I feel sure these foods are good for me though. I also eat a lot of fresh vegetables ( I am veggie and dairy…

Thank you for sharing this, I think if I can change to this mentality it will really help me. At the moment all those little things I am eating that "won't hurt" have added up and I have regained lots of what I lost. I don't want to stay how I am now and I think this quote will help. I am going to print it out! Thanks…

Hi, I've been belly dancing for 5 years. It's the highlight of my week. Enjoy! And welcome to this beautiful art form x

Yes, me too. I am trying not to feel so disgusted with myself for undoing all my hard work, again. I worked out that over the years if I add it all up I have lost getting on for 200 lbs through my weight going up losing it again. I seem to have no will power once it starts going on again, I end up saying "diet starts on…

well done! Are you doing any cardio? Have you been training for your 5k for example? Just curious if the program alone is enough to lose weight with (and a deficit.) I do a fair bit of cardio and was looking for a program like this to start to get back a bit of tone. I will look into it. Thank you :-)

Good point.... From a psychological point of view we can take this further. Several (not all!) of the things listed relate to trauma and possible abuse to a person. When someone has suffered trauma or abuse they might deal with the emotional issues through food. (And by trauma or abuse we might just be talking about…

I just started today - it all went well and I really enjoyed it! Excited to go back on Wednesday and do my first Workout B. The thing I found hardest was getting my feet up onto the ball to start the jacknifes. I ended up putting my knees on the floor and then hooking my feet up on the ball and pushing up onto my hands.…

Thanks for the info everyone. I've had the New Rules book for a few years but haven't got started on it....till now! Been for my gym induction and took the book and she helped me figure out how much weight to use for each move. My quads and glutes are killing today lol! Will be starting New Rules properly on Monday! Very…

Good point...I'm not away all week every week so if I did do stonglifts would it be possible to improvise with freeweights for the times I'm away? I've read a bit about the programme but not all of it yet. Because of my work schedule with lots of travelling I need something I can work around I can even do bodyweight in my…

Thanks both of you for your help. I'm excited to be doing this!

Thanks for your quick reply!! I'm hoping that I'll get someone I know (the gym is at the pool I use) so they might spend a bit more time with me. Maybe I should book a PT sessions after the intro and then take it from there then!

Sorry to hear you have lots of stress at the moment. I really hope things improve for you all soon. I believe some people on here track on a weekly basis rather than daily, by that I mean if you go over on one day, just go a little under the next. As long as you're within your limits for the week at the end of each week…

Thanks very much for your reply. I've had a look and it does look great! I can't find it for sale in the UK though (only had a quick look) but I may consider getting it shipped from the States as it does look like the sort of thing I'm after. Anyone in the UK got any other suggestions?

I've not read through the text so read it first just to make sure you won't injure yourself!! You can keep your hands on the floor in front of your horizontal shin if you like to support yourself.…
