  • @cat: fun, lighthearted, kind and gets along with anyone
  • If you're like me, I struggle with stopping once I start. Even if I have single serving snacks set aside. I struggle with this too and something I've found that works for me is: 1) like others, drink water and wait 2) small calorie burn workout: do 50 jumping jacks or crunches etc. Gets your mind off food and you probably…
  • I apologize that statement did not come off as intended. I it was a small slap on the wrist for saying you won't get mad. You did get mad. You also were hurt, angry, disappointed, vulnerable and ALL of those feelings that get mixed in when someone you love AND trust comments on a sensitive subject so insensitively. All I…
  • My 2 cents? He could have had a little more tact BUT he was being honest and you told him to say it so shame on you for being mad when you said you wouldn't be. HOWEVER, first- he's not your husband there's a different level of commitment so lets not compare apples to oranges. 2nd- depending on your level of love there are…
  • I was doing this when I first started MFP. I was given 1200 calories and I could eat those easily. BUT when I would do spin class and be done at 6:30 at night, I would have my protein shake and then not be hungry AT ALL. I would force myself to have the shake but I wasn't hungry in the least. When you are trying to find…
  • I use deodorant and have for YEARS for chub rub. Even at my thinnest every single part of my thighs touched and rubbed together. Deodorant is perfect! Meant to withstand sweating and it gives a buffer to make your thighs glide past each other.
  • This is great inspiration! I used to do the slim in six but got discouraged because the scale didn't move and I wasn't measuring... you've given me the motivation to try it again, this time with seeing my loss via inches! Great job and keep it up!
  • spinach... LOVE LOVE LOVE!
  • I'm totally in! I need more motivation to workout! Hopefully I can get all these in by Sunday since I haven't worked out M, T!
  • I agree with all of the above. Just make sure you can stop at the amount you've allotted and remember to re-hydrate. Drink back in water what you drank in alcohol and your body will be happier about the choice :-)
  • I usually make my Big Blend Green Smoothie: under 100 cals and gets a TON of nutrients and fills you up: 1) 3/4 C water, one vine tomato, one carrot, one orange, one apple, mango. Liquefy in mixer 2) 2-3 cups spinach, add at the end, puree everything. I make this at night and split it into 2 cups and drink them for…

  • I weigh everyday I like to get on the scale because I love to see the numbers keep going down. If they don't, it doesn't affect me to negatively because I will recall what I ate, worked out etc and then it motivates me to work harder to see the results I want. For me its a reminder that each day is a new day.
  • @stlhrs- So pretty! I think your eyes are standout! @babygirlx30- I LOVE your cheeks! :-)
  • I would say don't attend. In the past 2 years I have had friends marry on the east coast and have been in their weddings. I didn't buy them a gift and they didn't expect one, the reasons being 1) I'm in their wedding party that's gift enough 2) I spent money to fly out there and get a hotel room, again that's gift enough.…
  • Pens, coffee/water cups and post-its :-)
  • I do mini-5lb goals. I am all about the goals and motivation! If I hit 5lbs off I'm like WAHOO! My major goals have feel good/practical things associated with them. They are all tangible representations of my work. For example: (25 lbs) Shoes (50 lbs) Purse (75 lbs) Facial/Massage (100 lbs) GOAL!! Personal Stylist For the…

  • When I was on weight watchers I did a pretty much NO carb diet because I didn't want to use all my points in carbs. I suffered from what you described a lot and I was VERY tired. I am on a limited carb diet now and can absolutely tell a difference. Most days around 3p I need coffee, never needed it before the limited…
  • LOVE THIS IDEA! I'm taking back emotional control! Today I will not drown my issues in food! Instead I'm going to drown my issues in spin class :-) Thanks for the motivation!
  • I agree with the above. It is tempting to go below your caloric goals because you want a bigger caloric deficit. However, like everyone else stated you need to eat at least 1200. I say this and if you were to ever look at my diary I usually vary 100 +/- calories of my goal. Its better to go 60-100 calories over than under.…
  • ^^THIS^^ LOVE THAT SONG :-)
  • 225... :-( up 4 lbs
  • I love veggie wraps! I find that loading up on the green veggies really helps me feel full and its low in calories. Here's what mine typically looks like: Whole Wheat or Spinach Tortilla Kale or Spinach (this makes up about half the the tortilla) Onion Cucumber Tomato Tofu- grilled (or chicken or whatever meat you want)…

  • Well at least I went down! 221.2
  • I'm the same as Teshablue82. I don't check the thread everyday but I prefer the weekly challenges to keep me motivated. The weekly challenges give you a chance to follow through in creating a healthy habit.

  • Thanks for all the support! I took all the advice about the diet starts now and its a new day! Yesterday-not so good. I went to the fridge to make breakfast and lunch and I couldn't find the stuff I needed- it was gone! So I ate on the go- and we all know how bad that is! BUT this morning :-) Back on track! I realized my…
