  • I used to think I would be happy if I could just get down to a certain size... but now... after spending so much time in the gym and seeing that my body really can "put itself back together"... I am just looking for results! Sizes are a non-issue with me. I would like to be able to wear a bikini for the first time since I…
  • I love love love love LOVE!!!! Diet Dr. Pepper... and I am not ready to give it up EVER!!! I've tried! I now limit myself to one a day at work... and that's it. And that's tough! But I survive. One a day... surely won't kill me?!

  • I do all my workouts in the morning!! I love the idea of starting my morning by kickin' a**!! lol! I have heard all kinds of thoughts on when to do what and how to do what and what works best is this... simply do what you know feels good for you! I know that's probably not kosher with all the super fit trainers, etc. But I…
  • Great advice! You've got to build muscle!!
  • When I rolled over to get out of bed one morning and my stomach rolled over before I did!! Ugh! I was just disgusted with myself. That was over 30+ lbs ago! I did manage to lose about 15lbs more... I had a rough year last year and I am tired of making excuses!! I am back in the gym like a man woman! Now if I could just get…
  • Just cut back somewhere else; it's not the end of the world... besides no one is perfect every single day!! It will be ok...back on track!! Just lost the donuts and move on!
  • GO!!! I would at least do 30 mins of cardio! You never regret working out... but you'll think about it tomorrow if you don't go...
  • I try to allow myself to have snacks and take days off of the gym! It's a life style... and you have to start living that way. Even supermodels and body builders have days when they go off their diet. The key is reminding yourself why you started and remember that it's ok in moderation...and then right back to where you…
  • Ultimately you might lose weight in the beginning; but you won't be doing yourself any justice. You're going to get hungry! If you're working out...you have to eat more! I think a lot people fail to realize that just because you have 1200 calories left over at the end of the day... YOUR BODY IS HUNGRY! If you lift, you…
  • I'm going to go home and measure mine... I seriously couldn't even guess. :frown: I am just glad they are smaller than they used to be!
  • It's a life choice...not a diet. It took me many many years to figure that out! I think its great that your making small goals for yourself. That's the best way to do it! Keep tracking everything; even on days when you know you're over. You didn't gain it all in a day and you won't lose it all in one day. I really hope you…
  • We got a bunch of samples in my buying office... and I normally wear a size 8/10 and I took home a pair of skinny pants in a size 6...THEY FIT!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!! Size 6!! :) Plus, this morning at that gym I did the stair master for 15 mins...no stopping... on Level 8!!! I have been struggling with this for a while. I…
  • Anytime I want to get serious about losing the weight; it all begins with giving up the alcohol completely! I really believe that by cutting it out completely, that's the only way I am going to finally get to my goal. :) Best of luck to you, it is very hard to quick drinking ... I have tried and failed many times. But I am…
  • Walking, 3.5 mph, uphill 15 mins Weight/Circuit training, general 25 mins Stair-treadmill 15 mins ArchTrainer 31 mins Walking, 3.0 mph 5 mins... 5 sets of 10 abdominal leg raises I get up at 4:30 and I try to stay at the gym for at least an hour and a half. I love my gym time!! :)
  • I really loved this one!! I am going to post it on my fridge for all 3 of my teenage daughters can read it!! I wonder if the snacks will last longer?! lol! When people ask me why I am motivated or if they make a comment on how I stay motivated, this is my simple answer: I DO THIS FOR ME!!! ** I don't do it for anyone…
  • I dream of those days too!! :) Welcome back!! I gained 10lbs over the course of 2013 and I am just now slowly getting it back off... just stick with MFP and you can do it!! :)
  • I usually weigh myself once a week at the gym... 5am... in my gym clothes and tennis shoes on. When the weight is coming off; whether your clothes are on or off won't even matter!
  • This is great advice!! But I think the one thing you can't forget ... be consistent!! You have to make the commitment to yourself... YOU CAN DO THIS!!

  • LMAO!!! I love that someone actually mentioned TOM!! I was told to only weigh myself like every 3 weeks... give your body a chance to catch up to your work and give your mind a chance to break free from the mental aspects involved with trying to lose weight.

  • agreed!! Best answer!! I think waffles should be consumed at least 5 days a week....minimum... But since I've been single for almost 5 yrs... I am starting to think that waffles will be added to my pre-nup!!!
  • Couldn't agree more... do it for yourself!!
  • ALCOHOLIC DRINKS!!! I think if I could just stop drinking I would have been able to drop another 10lbs!! I keep yo-yo'ing!! I hate it... I need to just quit! I stopped drinking during the summer and now I have cut back to only on the weekends; but amazingly enough that will cause a full weeks set back!! :(
  • I'm pretty sure it's just the times! I get hit on all the time by younger men... Honestly it's really kind of ridiculous! I'm not even really sure what I would have in common with a 21 yr old...or even a 19 yr for that matter... I have 3 kids; but it happens all the time. And I swear I hear "age is just a number more than…
