I've been doing keto for 4 weeks now. Losing weight but the best thing has been the increased energy.

Great work, and cool hair

Just finished my 4th week on a ketogenic diet. First week was awful, but feel great since.

I have a bad disc at L5/S1, and running combined with weight loss has made the pain go away 99% of the time. Also, most people over 30 have some degree of disc degeneration and bulging as part of the natural aging process.

My doctor had me use Phentermine earlier this year. I did it for 60 days, and it really helped me re-adjust my relationship with food. After 60 days I realized that I could function just fine without eating so much, and I stopped taking it. I've lost another 50+ pounds since I stopped taking it, so I don't think it did any…

You can do it Steve! I'm on a similar journey. I was 336 at my highest. Down to 258 and trying to get under 200. Count calories and do some kind of exercise. Simple, but it works

I have been working with a medical doctor and a nutritionist to lose weight without surgery. They recommended replacing one meal a day with a protein shake. I typically drink a Muscle Milk 40g protein shake for breakfast.

Great job!

You need to take care of yourself and your son. Get out and get a life again. Until you learn to love yourself you will end up with more worthless men who will use and control you.

Great job

Awesome job! You inspire me.

Don't forget the Circle Jerks, The Business, The Vandals, or the Buzzcocks.

I usually stop at a convenience store in the morning to buy a protein shake. This morning the clerk asked me how much weight I had lost.
-
Wow! How did you do it?

I've incorporated DDP Yoga as part of my fitness routine, but am not following his diet. I'm just counting calories and trying to stay away from sugars and refined carbs. I'm down 40 pounds so far, but have a long way to go. I enjoy the DDP Yoga. I use the DDPYogaNow app, as I travel a lot and would forget to bring DVDs…

Great work! Keep it up.

Using a HR monitor is very useful when starting running because it can keep you from pushing too hard.

Feel free to add me. I just finished week 2 day 1. I did the program about 4 years ago and it really worked. I went from not being able to run a mile to becoming an avid runner and even completing a marathon a couple of years later. Unfortunately I fell back into working a lot, eating badly, and not exercising so I'm back…

I could definitely use an accountability buddy. I lost 75 pounds on MFP a few years ago, but fell off the wagon and "found" 65 of them over the last 2 years. I'm on day 8 of trying to get back on track.
-
You are an inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your success. It motivates me to get back on track.

I'm in the same boat. I lost 75 pounds on MFP in 2011-2012. Gained all but 3 pounds back. Recently got started again.

Fantastic! You are an inspiration.

Many of us men on MFP are not looking for dates. My profile starts, "I'm a 44-year old husband and father," which I think makes it pretty clear that I am in a committed relationship. I want to look better for my wife, not find another one. That being said, I would not be happy if someone was trying to chat up my wife on…
