  • Working on genealogy as usual while hubby is watching TV.
  • About 4 years old but I look the same...unfortunately!
  • I suffered 3 years before I finally had mine taken out! Once I healed (fast) I never had any problem whatsoever!! I have a low pain threshold but that was the pain from hell! First I had problem with fatty foods then it did not matter what I ate or didn't eat. My first and last attack was pancreites! No fun at all!
  • I have taken fish oil capsules for about 4 or 5 years now for health reasons as I don't like fish and have never included it in my diet. I have never heard the weight loss benefit. I do keep mine in the refrigerator and have never had any after taste problem. I do prefer Krill as it is a smaller pill.
  • At 5'3" I topped out at 350 and my baby sister had just died of morbid obesity. She was around 425 but she was also 5'10. I came home from her funeral and knew I was not going to die of morbid obesity. Like her I was diabetic, high blood pressure and hypothroidism. She had her first heart attack at 40 and 5 years later a…
  • I am following Bob Harper's Skinny Rules and now weigh every morning. It keeps me motivated even if there is a bit of a gain. I no longer like bad surprises! Just way too old for that!
  • Great that you have lost so much weight. If you don't have a BP monitor then go to the drug store and have it taken. You are young enough to make a big difference. My daughter is also upset that the doctor still wants her on meds. But I do believe you and her will be able to get off the meds all together. High BP isn't…
  • Only gained 2 lbs since Thanksgiving. I made cookies! Knew better but did them anyway telling myself that I was going to give them all away! Not! But my daughter loaned me her exercise bike and now I am using it everyday. I am determined to get a jump start on the new year! And no more baking goodies.
  • I started puggy as a child and by high school was wearing size 16. Then married, had two kids and wound up ballooning to size 28. That is 350 # at 5'3. Became diabetic and fear got me down to 300 in 2002. Then my baby sister died of basically problems caused by morbid obesity and I decided I although I had the same…
  • Stick to it and it will happen. Whereas I am shaped more like a overstuffed hot dog my daughter was pear shaped. She is on another plan but has gone from a size 36 to a snug 18 in just over a year. So from your picture you are young and it will happen.
  • I love your idea and sodium and all the 'other' items are not healthy for me. I will try this out for sure as homemade veggie & bean soup is my mainstay all winter long. Thanks for sharing!
  • I have low pulse but high BP and do have fatigue and therefore can't exercise as much as I need to. My BP this morning was 135/70 45 with Brad. Two days ago my pulse never got over 40. Cardiologist says that I could qualify for a pacemaker as I have quite a few skipped beats. But I am hoping to get more weight off so I can…
  • Hang in there and as your weight and waist size is still good keep doing what you are doing. I do believe our fat grimlins are doing their best to drive away all our good habits. And the scale could be wrong. You are so young and can make this happen. Just don't get discouraged. I gave up on myself years ago and now that I…
  • I actually lost about 50 pounds on the Dr Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge back in 2003 and for the first time ever (morbid obese for most of my 68 yrs) I didn't regain but about 5 pounds of it back! He recommends cutting out ALL fast food, junk food. If it isn't in the house, the office, the car or your purse you won't…
  • Been there...done that and have been morbidly obese most of my life. My big wake up call was loosing my baby sister (54) to this. I had the same health problems she did and came home from her funeral deciding that I might die of other things but morbid obesity was not going to be the cause. That was in Sept of 2002. I…
  • Junk food and soda is so addictive. But cut it out cold turkey for about two or three weeks and you won't be tempted and if you do slip you will find the food now tastes terrible. We all slip up and the key is not to beat yourself up and think you are a failure. It's a mind game we are in as much as a physical game. Treat…
  • I was addicted to Diet Caf free Coke & Dr Pepper but gave it up about 3 yrs ago and do not miss it one bit. Only problem is that now I really have to fight getting enough fluids in daily. For years I was limited on fluids because of congestive heart failure and go used to drinking less. I now have to force myself to drink…
  • As a diabetic for almost 20 years I hate to tell you that there is no such thing as pre-diabetic. It's like pregnancy; you either are or your aren't! But the good thing is that you can reverse and stop it! I had diabetes in both family sides plus morbidly obesity. I KNEW what was in store for me but did nothing about it…
