Hi! I started Crossfit about 3-4 months ago and also am unsure of how to count them. I have just been keeping track of what I do in my exercise notes and then allow myself a little leeway with calorie input those days. I have really been enjoying my journey with crossfit so far. I am NOT a natural athlete at all, and I was…

I forgot to post last night, but I did finish!

I'm in, and I like the idea of mini challenges... do you post these somewhere specific on the site regularly? I would love to follow along... thanks!

I am going to do my best to really answer the OP's question... I only hope that the OP really does have an interest in the answer, because stating that you will never understand does sound like you do not. My journey to vegetarianism goes as follows: Growing up, I was allergic to all poultry products- chicken, turkey,…

oh, and the mantra is repeated in my head, for fear of becoming the town's crazy out of shape runner who talks to herself! ha!
-
First of all, I want to say that I think you are doing an awesome job with your commitment to your goal! Please do not feel embarassed- you are out there WORKING towards your goal... that is nothing to be embarassed of! I wish I had some sage advice for you, but I am also a beginner runner. Hopefully, you can just take…

I love this post, great advice! Some other ideas: -throw the ball to the dog 20 times -read a chapter in a book -do 15 burpees -call a friend you haven't talked to in a while (preferably call them while sititng on a porch or deck or something because sometimes talking on the phone can lead to a mindless binge for me) -keep…
-
Logging and being honest with what I was logging was the first step for me to stop bingeing. I also keep my diary open, and I do not really have very many friends on here, so I don't think anyone really looks at it, but to me, just knowing that it is open helps to keep me honest- but everyone is different and I can see…

you rock! you look wonderful! good luck on continuing your journey!

I do not like going out to eat nearly as much. I used to make excuses to go out to eat, now every time others want to go out, I find myself trying to convince them to stay in because I feel so much better when I know what I am eating is healthy. While I would not say I LOVE working out, I am finding it less and less…

^^^this!!!^^^ Right on, OP!

First, let's just ignore any negativity fighting over the definition of vegetarianism. So silly to waste energy on something like that. Anyway, I became a vegetarian my junior year in college, so that was in 2003 I believe, making me meat free for about 9 years now. When I first started, it was due to a class in college in…

:drinker: I am in America BUT I WISH I lived in Ireland... does that count?

Thanks!

SERIOUSLY... if you need confirmation that you are doing an excellent job to help boost your self esteem- look no further. You look FANTASTIC- and it is so great to hear that you have found what works for you and you are doing it slowly, carefully, health-fully! However, that self esteem and love has to come from inside. I…

-I want to live a long life. -I want to live a happy life, and as long as I am this large, I am so uncomfortable that it seems impossible to be truly happy. -I want to have babies, and I want to be an energetic mom who will be able to run, crawl, jump, dance, slide, swing, etc along with the kiddies! -I do not want to have…

bump... when I get home I will give you some! Don't have them at work

Actually, not much yet. I already had a gym membership (that I wasn't using, ha), hand weights, food scale, etc. from previous journeys in weight loss attempts. Probably my biggest continuing expense is buying whole, organic produce... and lots of it.

I am not sure about the rest, but when it comes to skin, I absolutely SWEAR by Paula's Choice products. I have had various skin issues my whole life and her products are THE BEST. http://www.paulaschoice.com/ There are customer service reps that will be happy to help you find what is best for your skin issues. They also…
