Maybe you should start small. Start by giving up the stuff you can live without first. Give up those sodas again, and then build up. Also start small by writing everything you are eating down. You don't have to change how you are eating right away, just document it. Seeing what you are putting into your body everyday might…

As for music - we didn't not get to dance at our wedding because the reception hall we choose was carpeted and they wouldn't let anyone dance! My brother and his wife choose Willie Nelson's "Georgia" (she is a big Willie nut).

I got married at Christmas time and the wondeful thing about that is all the holiday decorations in the church....mainly in the form of beautiful red and white poinsettias!!! Take advantage of that and incorporate those colors into your ceremony!

I still roll my t-shirt sleeves up. I got so used to it that it feels weird to wear my t-shirts without rolling the sleeves up now!

I try to get soup. As long as it is the broth type soups instead of the cream based soups the calories are not terrible. you can get a salad to go along with it or maybe a half a sandwich.

That has been my struggle. I've been eating 1570 the last 2 months and have been sticking to it. When I went in last week and we discussed the issues I'm having with not loosing she asked me to try this for 2 weeks and then call her back and let her know if I lost anything. We really didn't discuss exercise. I do walk 4-6…

I've been steadily gaining weight the last two years, with no change to my diet. I lived overseas for a year with no vehicle and walked my butt off but had no loss of inches or weight. My doctor checked all my levels and my thyroid and everything is running correctly but I just keep gaining. Now she has asked me to cut…

This will be my first walk but my brother did it last year and is walking with me. It will be nice to have an experienced walker with me. Fundraising is not going particularly well...I'm at 700.00 and 7 weeks to go. Training, on the other hand, is going well....I walk 3 to 4 times a week 4-5 miles and then a big walk every…

walking will work but it takes time. I've been walking 12-15 miles every week since June and its just now starting to catch up with me. You also have to watch those calories...I found that when I first started walking my appetite increased too.

My husband and I send them to their room when they talk back or put them in time-out. We tell them that when they are ready to behave appropriately then they are allowed to come back downstairs. Dont' forget to go over what is appropriate behavior and what is inappropriate behavior!!

I spent all friggin' day cleaning my house for a showing that we had this evening....the people stayed at the house for an hour and their relator stopped me on my way home and said that they loved the house and were REALLY interested. I'm thinking "YES!" Turns out they haven't sold…

I love this recipe!!! I sometimes make a less elaborate version for lunch without the cheese and olives. 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided 4 portobello mushroom caps, stems and gills removed 4 large slices country-style sourdough bread, cut in half 1/2 cup sliced…

Could the loss of muscle mass actually be water weight gain? I think you may just have to wait and see what your weight and readings come out to a week or so after your period is over. I'd be curious to hear what the difference is.

I don't know that I would say it was fun but my brother and I walked 12 miles this morning! We started at 6 a.m. and finished about 4 and a half hours later. We are training for the Breast Cancer 3 Day in November...and let me tell you, its a great way to force yourself to burn calories!

I make my husband get me up when I need to. He can be brutal but it works.

I think its okay to go and splurge...you just need to plan for it! if you know you want the enchiladas and the margaritas then make the right food choices earlier in the day and eat and drink in moderation at the restaurant (don't go too crazy...have just 1 margarita or maybe 2 small ones).

My cat does this too! He doesn't get out much but when he does sneak out undetected he always brings one back to share.

I'm a little further north. My parents got out of Galveston this morning and staying up here now. We'll be getting some of the crud on Saturday night and Sunday...

Hello all! I'm looking for some suggestions to either curb my afternoon snacking or to find some low calorie snacks (besides vegetables!!). I've always been susceptible to snacking between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. (between lunch and dinner)....I'm looking at my food journal for the last few days and I'm definintely having…

I was told by my doctor that you should be done with food intake 2 hours before bed. I set a personal goal of 8 p.m. to be done eating by. I typically go to bed between 10 and 11. Some nights are harder than others but I do try.
