@jamcnewman Julie thank you for the insightful post. Tracking is one of my downfalls too. As far as a Tip: I use my notes feature in MFP to track times, food when I’m not able to log like I want. But I try not to rely on that too heavily or I’ll never actually log for caloric amount—but at least it’s a record. Multi add is…

Make it a great day, UACers! @TerriRichardson112 Thanks for promoting all those ways to interact. I see them, but have never taken the time to use them. Maybe using these sections can help create closer connections and with attrition? Going for ✔️✔️✔️ I workout doing Piyo on Wed. Just got to work on water intake and making…

@MadisonMolly2017 Thank you so much for sharing your insights and how Dweck’s work has impacted your life. You have some practical tips/simple framework for behavior modification. Identity based goals are everything. And it makes me think of James Clear and the compilation he’s created in his Atomic Habits book (and how he…

Setting my intention early worked on Saturday and set the tone for my day. So I’m going for it again ✔️✔️✔️. If I miss the mark/ I’ll come back the next day and say so. Logging food and drink is such a challenge. 🤦🏾♀️

Thank you for today’s opener. I am currently working on habits that involve changing mindset and thought patterns. I agree mindset impacts every area of life. But I am going to test out the “obstacle is the way” concept. It makes so much sense. Thanks for sharing.

It’s Early. But I’m going for three ✔️✔️✔️ today. If I don’t make it, I’ll just post tomorrow stating as such. But one thing that I’m doing to handle my triggers is being aware of my Anger signals. Typically they pop up when I’m dwelling on the past/desiring to change it or I’m worrying about the future. Noticing the…

@SummerSkier Actually, I didn’t put the date in my phone. Thought I did, put apparently didn’t. If I did, I would’ve posted early and on time. So I pray for grace and not to be kicked out the tribe. Just trying to adjust and put it all together.

“You can change your mindset” Carol Dweck, Mindset Growth Mindset makes you believe important qualities can be cultivated and more concerned with improving and learning. Fixed mindset makes you concerned with how you’ll be judged and super sensitive about being wrong, making mistakes and failures. Reflection: How do you…

3 yes Walked No pass days —seeing how I slacked the last two months, not making it past day 5 without a pass day, this is an accomplishment.

Would love to be Fitbit buddies. Send me friend request/ DM on MFP I can’t wait to see how you like the Apple Watch. —I might do that in the fall, but I really wanted a. Dedicated fitness tracker/heart rate monitor.

3 yes for 1/3 & 1/4 Walked both days Tracking is such a challenge for me. It doesn’t take me 5 mins—but I think I need to track as I go vs type what I put in my mouth then log later I just know not to rely on my memory in order to keep me honest and accurate.
-
3 yeps Kettlebell for 20 mins! Looking forward to connecting with new Fitbit buddies!
-
@Mrs_Hoffer Ok, the schedule looks grand. Thank you for all you do! Connect with you soon.

@Mrs_Hoffer I’m willing to be a content creator for Friday, Jan 28th. And willing to do it Jan 14th to help distribute the load. I’m going to be honest and say I didn’t know the commenter position was a recurring role from month to month. I feel as though I missed the mark on that one the last two weeks of December. I’ll…

When I noticed that Christmas Eve wasn’t taken, I knew what I wanted to write about right a way. I began to reflect on my year as well as what the holiday season brings. Typically stress and Presents! But since we all hail from different parts of the world and have different traditions, I wanted to focus energy on…

@donna25trinity Found this for you! 30 Days to Better Habits Course https://jamesclear.com/30-days And you are right about being apart of UAC “Nothing sustains motivation better than belonging to the tribe. It transforms a personal quest into a shared one.” 😉

@ideas2 Was so excited when I read you started brewing your first batch of kombucha! Oh how I miss doing that. You’re inspiring me to get my ducks in a row to start my “scoby hotel” again! Best of luck to you and can’t wait to hear how it turns out!

@DebyS137 Such a creative way to track your consistency—A P instead of a number is a Pass Day? I’ve got to borrow that. Thanks for sharing!!

@donna25trinity If you are enjoying Atomic Habits, be sure to join James Clears newsletter. He emails every Thursday and I believe he also has this wonderful mini course to help drive points in the book home. Super good and free.
