New Balance does seem to be the best for wide widths. See if there's an actual New Balance store near you (rather than looking at a sporting goods or department store) and the employees there might be able to make a more specific recommendation based on your weight and your needs.

BTW, has anyone tried the white chocolate version? They're pretty good, but still not as good as the original

These are totally my kryptonite!

Another vote for getting fitted...and a good running store, by people who know what they're talking about. It doesn't matter what works for other people, or what is cute, or you think might be right for you.... everyone is different, and there's a good shoe for YOU out there. Good luck :drinker:

I get up very early to hit the gym in the morning before work, and when I feel that way, I ask myself this question...."when its done, will I be glad I did it and feel great, or wish I'd slept more instead?" ....probably 19 out of 20 times, the answer is to go workout! Sometimes its not my best workout, but in the end, I…

Honestly, its probably more of a compliment than an attack (or jealousy). People don't often know how to appropriately comment on weight loss, and when they're used to seeing you a certain way, it takes time for them get used to seeing the new you. As others said, just say thanks, and keep doing what you're doing! Congrats…

Its probably been said already, but go to a running store and get fitted for the correct shoe for you! I had shin splits as well, and needed an extra cushioning shoe. Once I got the right shoe, the problem was gone immediately.

If its just a cold....go and sweat it out, as long as you're not hacking or sneezing all over other people or the equipment at the gym (or if you have a fever).

Each club is a privately owned franchise, so you're going to see variety in how they interpret the "judgement free zone" .....and obviously some are taking it to new levels of ridiculousness, while others are operating like a normal gym!

x100 OP - I really hope this was not a serious post, because you really need to get help.

This is the latest one I saw this morning on the news.... This girl's outfit is actually among the most appropriate and basic gym attire out there...nothing out of the ordinary from any gym I've ever belonged to or been in (or worn myself). It makes NO sense that she was kicked out....its beyond ridiculous :noway:…

NEWSFLASH - this is a "result" Be patient....

I agree with this.....you aren't getting healthier for your name on some board, and.it would be a very 'stupid' reason to eat badly and stop going to the gym. Take a deep breath, let it go, and kick some *kitten* in April! edited to add...if you weigh in today and your stats are better than the people on the board, can't…

If you go for a while without it, the cravings WILL subside and you won't want them as much....you just have to want it bad enough to break past the habitual behavior. Try getting rid of the bad temptations in your home, and substituting it with healthier options till you get to that point. If you're eating from boredom at…

Its also possible that WHAT you're eating is the problem, not the number of calories alone. If you aren't eating the right things (like not enough protein), you are always going to feel hungry and weak. Be sure you aren't wasting it on 'empty calories'

There is a childfree by choice group here on MFP http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/897-cfbc-private-group

I'm sure it wasn't meant to be offensive by the person who posted it...but that's one of my pet peeves (when people say that to me)...it ranks right up there with the "who will take care of you when you're old?" question that a lot of people like to ask.

sorry...server crashed at work and posted the same thing 3 times :ohwell:

What it comes down to is which one would YOU use the most? Personally, I'd pick the gym, becaue a gym membership gives you a LOT more options for workouts, but I also lack the self-discipline to workout at home the way I do when I'm around other people. It depends on your personality.

OMG....when people say "you can still change your mind" to someone who is CFBC, its SO offensive. Its like you're suggesting you still have time to "come to your senses" or something because every woman MUST really want to spawn. :noway:

Year and a half old thread....pretty sure he's no in need of advice here anymore.....:ohwell:

Good article...thanks for sharing! I had a skinny girl at work tell me she'd like to try spinning classes, but "I don't want to get huge man-thighs"....ugh!! :noway:

Its a great core workout...but I would advise that one shoud NEVER buy a machine they haven't used before and aren't sure they will use regularly...
-
I don't think standing all day is any better for you than sitting. I would suggest alternating between both, but when I tended bar as a second job, I had knee and back pain all the time from standing in the same place for hours on end.

Clearly you didn't create a vague enough post to send people jumping to wildly specuative conclusions and deciding you have an eating disorder, need to eat more, or need to go to therapy... Perhaps if you used all CAPS next time...or spelled 'lose' as 'loose", you'll get more response. :ohwell:

I don't know what it was selling...but I'm buying

I liked the Detroit representation, but found the 'buy everything else that's imported...just not cars" message a bit offensive (and contradicttory).
