"emergency" might be a bit melodramatic, but having ONE super low calorie day after a particularly bad one is certainly not going to hurt you and send you into a binging mode or catapult you into an eating disorder either!

By the way...ignoring this can be very bad. I once passed out at a casino and they made me go to the hospital, even though I kept telling them I just needed water and to eat....it was very embarrassing!! :grumble:

I'm borderline hypoglycemic, and this happens to me too, particularly if I eat something higher in sugar or carbs early in the morning. I keep glucose tablets in my purse and they work instantly (you can get a little tube of them for like $1 at any drugstore near the diabetic supplies).

Its unlikely you're building a enough muscle from biking to offset any significant fat loss. How long have you been at this? Maybe you just need to give it time to work. Another possibilty is that your diet isn't as good as you think. Do you measure everything out or could you be eating more calories than you're logging?…

It was unavailable for a long time because of a some kind of factory contamination issue or something. Its back now, and has been for at least a year. Its the ONLY thing that works for me when I get headaches or any kind. (Tylenol does nothing for me either!)

Mine are also hormonal, but it might help to run a humidfyer in your bedroom at night. The extra dryness brought on by this cold weather and running the heat higher at home can cause headachces for a lot of people. If they continue to get worse...see your doctor for sure though!

Penny wars looks very cool! I should have clarified though...I'm the only team member at my company (its a 'friends and family team and we're all scattered), so some of these cool ideas would be tough, as its just me here

We're in the "polar vortex" right now too...Detroit :grumble: That's a good idea though...maybe for next year, I can start early and plan something big to kick off my team! I could BBQ hotdogs (and incorporate Scotty's suggestion too :laugh: )

I agree with this...and we have separate accounts as well. There's a whole lot of judgmental people on here who like to get on a soapbox and think their relationship is so much better than someone else's OP...good for you, and enjoy spending that money on new clothes when you get to your goal :drinker:

Could be muscles retaining water for repair after the added strength training....or it could be that you just had too much sodium lately (did you eat in restaurants over the weekend?) Give it a little time to see if it levels off. Its very unlikely to be any kind of real gain.... also...it could just be a hormonal water…

The idea that you're actually in danger of gaining any significanat muscle weight is a myth....you should focus on strengh training in addition to cardio, and don't worry about gaining a lot of muscle. Even if you were trying to gain muscle weight, it would be a hard battle!

Do a trial at both Curves AND a regular gym. Don't be intimidated...there's absolutely nothing scary about a gym (they all have people at all levels of fitness)

THIS....you can lose weight without doing any exercise at all, if that's your only goal. If you want to get in shape and have some muscle tone though, you're going to need to do more. :ohwell:
