Thanks..I like that idea!

I carry when I run or bike where I live for potential attackers or mean dogs. Anything is better than being completely defenseless if you're ever in a dangerous situation. As for your child, its like anything else (like a gun) you might have in your house...you have to take precautions to keep them from getting ahold of…

Probably just water retention if you ate out in restaurants a lot. Not sure what you mean by you 'blew it all', but I'm going to assume you were out with friends and overdid it? "Having a life" and eating and drinking way too much do NOT have to go hand in hand. You just need to find a balance, and remember that if your…

I like this suggestion a LOT. A close friend of mine married a 'mama's boy' and its been a constant source of problems in their marriage. She owned her own home for years, and he moved straight from his parent's home to hers when they got married. His mom cooked everything, packed his lunches, and did all his laundry, and…

I suspect your mom was fed some crazy information from someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. You can shower whenever you want, but if you've just finished intense cardio, its probably a good idea to let your body temp cool down a little bit at least. edited to add..I've been working out in the mornings…

In for 150 again..thanks!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

I agree with all those saying you're probably doing something wrong with your food. Weight loss is about what you eat....and you can't out-exercise a bad diet. Make sure you're not overestimating, and also not underestimating too much...because you could also be eating too little.

Something to consider...even if you tell them it fell through, they may still try to push you out. This is why people are usually advised never to accept a counter offer to stay at a job they've tried to quit. The employer now knows you wanted to leave (regardless of the fact that the other company pursued you) at one…

I'm up around 4:00 - 4:15 every day....most days I wake up before the alarm even rings. Its not for everyone though...if you really can't get yourself movitated to get up that early, then find another workout time that works for you! The one thing that works on the days I don't want to get out of bed, is to remind myself…

If this is the amount of notice they require, then you shouldn't worry too much if its "not enough". Its commendable that you're concerned, but in the end, 4 weeks is very fair, and if they aren't prepared, its not really your problem. Either way..good luck. I hope it works out for you, because you sound like a nice and…

Yeah, I kind of agree here...its never a good idea to tell them until you have something set in stone, THEN, you give a decent amount of notice (unless you're willing to burn the bridge). The employer you're going to work for should understand and respect this course of action. If you're in an 'at-will employment'…

Everyone's weight fluctuates to some degree. Try making sure you weigh yourself at the same time every day. Eating too much sodium the day before (pretty much = eating at ANY restaurant), will cause water retention. Also, if you're working out with weights, your muscles retain water to 'repair' themselves, and that can…

For years, when I was single, I'd go to my parents house and watch Salem's Lot and share a fun sized bag of Milky Way bars with my dad while my mom passed out candy bars every year.... to this day, its one of my favorite Halloween memories, and candies.

I also suffer migraines during my TOM....Excedrin and caffiene are the only thing that seems to really work. Otherwise, staying hydrated before bed and avoiding alcohol around that time seems to help as well....

Great rules to live by (I agree with you about disagreeing on #5 though...)

I like the Nikki French version...its more upbeat, I put in on the playlist for my spin class sometimes and its a great song to cycle to!

In for 150 again please...

Final total for the month

Whoever these people are, you need to stop listening to them!! For most women, it helps to work out...lessens cramps and other symptoms...

I did it...and I'm smoke free for about 20 months now... Use your improved lung function as motivation to increase your exercise (it helps cravings a lot)....also drink TONS of water.

Try it for a while and see how you feel. I get by just fine on an average of 6 hours of sleep a day, but everyone is different. If that doesn't work, you could always try to incorporate some other exercise other than only running...like add some strength training instead.
