My grandmother grew up during the Depression and she used to eat possum.

I usually have 2 (12oz.) cups a day, sometimes 3. I drink it strong and black. Love it!

I have both PCOS and endometriosis that have been diagnosed for years. I can tell you that hardly anyone has EVERY symptom. I would suggest that you see an endocrinologist if at all possible. That's what I had to do. I can also say that the main treatments for PCOS are diet and exercise. I can't tell you how much better I…

I just finished a 5 day course of it on this past Saturday. I had severe allergies that OTC antihistimines were not helping at all. My eyes were so swelled that they had cracked open across the lids. It worked like a charm and the only side effect I noticed was that it made me a bit jittery. I don't like taking steroids…

I find that the more sugar I eat, the more I want. I try to allow myself an ocassional treat because you can't be good all time but I have to be really careful with sugar. It's definitely my drug of choice.

I am of the mindset that no one can be good all time. Allow yourself the splurge and then get back to it.

I agree with getting your thyroid checked. One other suggestion is, are you sure your food scale is correct? 1 oz. of meat would be tiny. You figure that the regular hamburgers at Wendy's or such are 1/4 pound so that is 4 ozs. and that's not much meat at all...so 1 oz would be super, super small. If it's correct then do…

I don't track it if it's 5 calories or under but I try to be under my calorie allotment daily.

My GYN actually recommended the Mega-T green tea supplement. She said to be sure and get the caffeine free kind which can be a little harder to find.

Try giving him extra long walks to work out some of that energy. When your husband is home does he usually walk him? Maybe that will help? Good luck!

When I was doing low carb, which I'm not anymore (but I lost a LOT of weight with it) I ate, bacon, eggs, Atkins shakes, grilled chicken, salads with Ranch dressing, low carb bars, etc. I was getting in my required calories without any trouble. BTW...I was doing low carb before I joined here so my weight loss shown here…

I can tell you that for myself, I had to lose the "all or nothing" mentality. I don't think anyone can be perfect 100% of the time. I now aim for eating healthy 90% of the time and then allow myself a treat for the other 10%. That way, there is nothing that is entirely off limits for me. I just can't have it every day.…

We have our 29th Anniversary coming up in July. I married my soul-mate. :-)

I always work out...and feel better afterwards.

Me! I started out doing Atkins because low-carb has always worked really well for me. 6 weeks in I bought the Dukan Diet book and changed over to it. I have been on it ever since (4 months). I am real close to losing 60 pounds now in the total time. I like it and it's working for me. I also am insulin-resistant so the…

I use the oat bran...the Bob's Red Mill brand but whatever you want to use and I stir it into my Dannon Light and Fit (Fat-Free and Sugar- Free) Yogurt. I add 2 Tablespoons and I like it...it gives a sort of granola feel to it. The oat bran is the outside of the oats and has lots of good fiber in it.
