I know what you mean. It does seem like its easier from the start, I think its because- on the initial pulldown, your back is being used to pull to a certain point- then around halfway down it switches to your shoulders and chest to complete the pulling motion. I don't know about you but my back is much stronger than my…

I'm around Carrollwood too, around Van *kitten*. Maybe we could go for a run or something sometime?

Wow, you are a knock out!! Great job :D

Amazing, you look stunning!!! The video was a great idea!!

I love your story! I am in a similar boat too. I've been with MFP for almost a year, and have only lost about 25 pounds. I started lifting, stopped depriving, and the weight came off slower. Now I haven't even been logging and the weight has all but stopped coming off. I started at a 14-16, and am now a 10. Thank you for…

I am a perfectionist. Fill in the blanks.

Tips please. Message me. :D

Gah, I keep meaning to get back to get this done! For me, I appreciate an asthetician (sp) who does long pulls rather than many short ones. It hurts, yes, but the pain reduces the more you do it and oh man does it improve other things. :)

I'm mildly self conscious when I first start and hear my feet pounding the treadmill belt, but after that its just me and Pandora. Everyone else can go on. In defense of girls who wear makeup to the gym - I workout after my workday, its leftover! Don't judge. :) But leaving the hair down? No, I don't understand that one…

For me, watching fruit and daily intake has helped keep it under control. Breakfast cereals tend to be high in sugar, and lots of diet foods are too. Edit: Watch the protein/energy/meal bars and condiments too. Its sneaky stuff.

Some girls in middle school used to call me Shamu. Then the guy I lost my virginity to told people really rude things concerning my weight (after the fact, of course.) I'm not sure I ever got over that stuff. It doesn't sting like it used to, but one of those girls sent me a friend request on FB. I laughed heartily and…

You guys have a lot to learn. Except for the three of you that advocate eating smart instead of eating small. What really pisses me off is you people who say things like "OMFG you had to eat more than 1200/day to get fat lol!" Maybe *you* did, honey, but that's not how this always works. Do more homework then post.

Eating before bed doesn't effect weight loss. I've found out that if I've had too few calories over the day (around 1300ish) I will always wake up in the middle of the night hungry. So I eat a couple hundred calories and don't worry about it - its never caused any problems. Getting a grip on emotional eating is what most…

I with this one. When I eat healthy it tastes good, but transitioning from fatty, salty, sugary stuff is hard in the beginning. Your palate has to adjust and I've heard that our bodies are actually wired to crave salty things. I really do enjoy my vegetables and have learned a lot about seasoning my foods versus frying or…

Your food diary is not a personal thing. It has nothing to do with accountability. You regularly eat the foods you won't show to your MFP friends in front of coworkers, family, and perfect strangers. Keeping your diary private is a matter of prerogative, nothing else. If you're worried about your MFP friends judging you,…

You are amazing!

It gets easier. In the beginning its fake hunger, so tracking your food and eating every 2-3 hours will help you stay more aware of what your intake is. I quit 36 days ago, and at first I quickly piled on 5 lbs. I nixed it by making it a daily goal to not eat anything impulsively, continuing to eat every 2-3 hours as I…

You are BEAUTIFUL!! Great work :D

This book saved me. :) Everyone who is quitting or thinking about quitting should read it. Hell, I wasn't even thinking about quitting - I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I read it one sitting and put it down a nonsmoker, and am on day 34 now. Read this book!!

Don't get me wrong guys, I love bacon and eggs and sausage and sausage and gravy and all that fatty stuff as much as the next guy BUT- when you've been eating really well for a while, adding in a load of saturated fats with 50 million mgs of sodium isn't going to do anything real for the hangover. Your mouth and soul may…

I quickly gained 5 pounds when I quit, but have since lost it and am back to where I started. You aren't really hungry - your body just thinks its missing something so it sends signals for you to eat. I got through this by drinking all my water everyday and eating every 2-3 hours like I always have. You have to recognize…

Yep, me too.

For some reason I can't edit my own post? Anyways, I wanted to add one. I'm afraid of deep water. Even if I could see to the bottom of the ocean, I get really nervous in deep water, and by deep I mean that I can't touch the bottom with my toes. So in my case just over 5 ft. Swimming pools are okay, but anything else…

Falling down the stairs or over a balcony - it get vertigo just looking at balconies, and also when people stand at the top of stairs. Someone breaking into my house for the sole purpose of hurting me. I've left my apartment late at night to get relief from the fear. Letting any limb hang over the edge of the bed. Driving…

I'm doubled jointed in both thumbs and have dimples in the middle of my cheeks, just below my eyes, when I smile very big.

Thank you for sharing your story Rachel. My heart goes out to you and I can sympathize on a very personal level. I didn't see any of my babies, but I have miscarried four times. Three of them landed me in the hospital for excessive bleeding, one of those I was about 16 weeks along as well. I have managed to have one…

Maybe because it was published today. Sorry for annoying you.
