Pizza is my favorite food - so I usually get some on Friday nights. Can't wait for some more!

Twice a day. I weigh myself first thing every morning and log my weight. It helps to keep me motivated and accountable, despite the invariable fluctuations. I also weigh myself right before bed, only because it's interesting to see how much weight I lose during the night based on my hydration level for that day.

I joined a challenge at the diet better.com site. I pay money to join and get all of it back plus a little more when I reach my goal. They have two challenges: A 4-week/lose 4% bodyweight or a 6 month/lose 10% bodyweight program. I chose the 10% bodyweight challenge over six months because I have long term goals. It's not…

I weigh myself first thing every morning in my underwear. I also weigh in every night, but just for fun to guess how much weight I will lose overnight. I find weighing every morning helps to keep me focused on my goals for that day. I recognize (and am not bothered a bit) that the scale will bounce around from one day to…

But the issue is this: People need to follow a plan that they can follow day after day, week after week, month after month. I severely restricted diet will be very hard to follow long term. And "long term" is the key. People need to follow a plan that is livable and not a grind to get through every day.

Sounds fake to me.

I log everything but only pay attention to 2 things: total calories consumed and trying to eat clean. I don't worry about any figures other than calories.

I love microwave popcorn too, depending on the brand. The only difference I see is that the unpopped popcorn has oil in it that stays in the bag and that's why the calorie difference is so huge. It seems weird to me that the calories of popped, microwave popcorn is so low. I don't really trust the calorie counts but I eat…

I like a couple of different fiber bars I buy from Costco. Calories are 120-140 per bar. They taste like chocolate so I eat one of those when I really want a chocolate fix without eating too many calories. It's not the healthiest snack, but it satisfies some cravings without too many calories.

I've adjusted my final goal three times. I think it took some early success for me to wrap my mind around the fact that a truly health weight is an achievable goal.

The wraps work for about 2 or 3 days max. Kind of like a spray on tan.
-
I don't log any exercise. I only log my food.

Sure. $9 for a month long trial pass sounds great. Then you will know if you will actually go the gym, like the equipment and people, etc. $35/month sounds about average for monthly fees. Not a great deal but not a bad deal.

Lately I've been eating a serving of Cheerios with 1% milk. It makes me feel satisfied before bed but only gives me about 200 calories.

That's exactly me. I wish I could like eating apples, but they upset my stomach if I'm not eating them as part of a meal.

I agree - I think something's messed up. The nutrition info from the box and from myfitnesspal: Western Family - Movie Theater Microwave Popcorn Servings: 1 - 1 container (6 tbsp each) Calories 105 Sodium 750 mg Total Fat 30 g Potassium 0 mg Saturated 15 g Total Carbs 51 g Polyunsaturated 0 g Dietary Fiber 12 g…

I use both machines and free weights - whatever I feel like doing. And if the other people are not in my way, I don't really care if they do things "right" or are texting or whatever.

Thanks to you all, I am now craving pizza.
-
1. Small portions and just a few items on each plate. 2. When you are done, assuming you went over the calories you wanted to consume - just let it go and move on with a good day tomorrow!
-
Pizza. Love it.

Great job!

Cool!

Great! See you there soon.

I weigh in every day. I know I my weight will bounce around and I'm not bothered by the bounce-ups because I know it will bounce back down. For example, last weekend I ate a lot of high-sodium foods and my weight increased by 3 pounds. I knew I didn't eat an extra 10,000 calories to justify such a weight increase and that…

I agree with wllwsmmr. Patience and positive attitude. This is a long term thing, so slow and steady is the way to go. Anyone can go on a crash diet and lose a bunch of weight fast. But a changed lifestyle (which will include "good" and "bad" days) will give you long term success for sure. It may take a while and that's ok!

I try to eat something small (like a piece of fruit or a bar) in the morning in order to not get too hungry two hours later. Then when I'm ready to eat a couple of hours later, I don't feel like I'm starving and I won't overeat.

I probably weigh myself 2 or three times a day. First in the morning which is the weight I use for my tracking. It keeps me motivated to try and have a good day. I normally lose weight for a few days, then I'm up for a few days, then back down to a new low weight. I'm not discouraged by the up days because of my…

I agree - go and have a good time. Have fun eating the great food without major binges. Keep active and working out. Makes me want to go on a cruise.

Hi. I'm new here too. This looks like a great site!
