Fifteen days in a row of logging my food! It's a babystep, but it's a beginning.

Wow! Isn't it amazing how our body changes. Congratulations!

Hi Pam, I'm a little older than you, also from Ohio and also have a lot of weight to take off. I started on MFP in June. It's not easy, but if you make up your mind, you CAN do it. For me the most important thing has been to write down every thing I eat, every single day on MFP. This has really helped me stay focused. Good…

That's a terrific NSV and one of the main reasons I'm losing weight. I want to move with ease through the world. Congrats on doing that for yourself!

To Chunka, thanks for starting this thread! I, too, have over a hundred to lose. I started out at 350 and lost some before I joined mfp in June. I'm down to 324 now, but am working toward losing another 150 or so pounds. To anyone else who is on a similar journey, feel free to add me. To all of you who have already lost so…

Absolutely an NSV in my book!!! You chose nutrient dense food over food with limited nutrients.

It's a genuine metamorphosis; much like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. Congratulations and enjoy!

Thanks! I love the bracelet. Also took a look at some of the other jewelry on the site. Love the climbing woman pin and the mountain pendant. All tangible symbols of the journey. Now, just to decide what should be my reward for my first mini goal. I'm only 4 lbs ahead and my goal has been to reach it before 9/15.

Marking your mini-goals with little rewards that have a meaningful connection to you and your weight loss journey is way cool! I love the idea. I have about 180 pounds to loose and when I think of it that way, it's way too overwhelming, so I've been breaking it into mini-goals of 15 pounds or so. I think your idea of…

Congratulations! Now you'll have lots of energy to chase that little guy around!

Here's a recipe I make ahead and freeze for lunches. I make a whole batch at a time and freeze on a cookie sheet. Once frozen, I put them in a freezer bag or container. Also eat them sometimes at breakfast for something different. Pizza Spins: per serving 1 multigrain 100 calorie English muffin, split. Put two tablespoons…

my daughter loves salsa so I put some in a small plastic container with a lid in her lunch. This makes a great dip for carrots, celery sticks, whole grain chips, etc. also do the same with peanut butter and then send her celery sticks, pretzels, apple slices, etc. she also loves ranch dip in a small container with assorted…

How cool that you could do it together! Great job.

I didn't know that I wasn't alone; that so many many people of different ages and sizes, etc. were struggling with the same issues. I didn't know that there is hope for someone as heavy as me. I didn't know that just reading about others successes and struggles could be so motivating for me! I didn't know MFP would replace…
