I use both. I'll use margarine in things that I'm not too worried about the taste on, but if it's something that requires a buttery flavor... real butter is the way to go. Some people have cholesterol issues though so they have to use margarine (my father is one of them) and on the other hand, margarine can interfere with…

Body shaming is wrong no matter what the person's size is. Love every body shape, type and weight. It's not your place to judge someone. The only time I say something is if someone close to me is starving themselves to stay thin.

It's pretty obvious what this diet does. It supplies you with a "drop" that costs money and then you eat 500 calories each day. You're not losing weight from the drops, you're losing weight by only eating 500 calories per day and starving yourself. Dangerous crash diet, it's not healthy.

Oh honey, don't hate on yourself. You don't have "big" hips, quit thinking like that! Everyone's body shape can be worked with. Same to the OP. You think you have "no waist", it's all about wearing clothes that shape and flatter you, and you can create a waist through belts and such. My waist is 27.5'' and my hips are a…

It really depends on the measurements... you're a 0/2 because of your waist/hip ratio. I have a lot of UK size 8s and I'm not a US2, my waist is about 1.5 inches bigger than yours and hips... let's not go there haha.
-
^ that's a US4, FYI.
-
Defined waist dresses with a belt, girl, that's all I'm sayin' haha :)

If your waist is a 28-29, that would put you in a 4-6. That's why you can't get into a 2. Size 2 is generally a 25-26 inch waist. I have a 27.5 inch waist and I wear a 6 generally, sometimes a 4, my butt is my issue so if the hips are free or stretchy, I wear a smaller size.

I used to drink it and then I realized that the sulfates made my stomach issues worse. I do drink wine very occasionally but it's usually a single glass every 3-6 months. Maybe I should have put that in my rarely category...

It depends on where your body distributes your weight... are you apple shaped? If you carry weight around your middle section, the smaller sizes won't be able to button at your waist. Weight on the scale is just a number. What are your measurements? I would put someone at that height around a 4 or 6. I know someone who is…

I've done this without doing allergy testing and I have to say that it has made a huge difference for my body. I developed an intolerance to nuts, eggs and most red meat/pork as I aged and suddenly things were tearing up my stomach. I suspect that I have a failing gallbladder but modifying my diet has reduced some of the…

I just grabbed my water bottle and chugged, thanks for the reminder! Sorry to hear about your husband.

I'm doing a lot of assuming from a few things that go unsaid in your post. First, 136 lbs. to lose. So I'm guessing you're 200 lbs. plus? Generally your calorie goal would be much higher at that weight. Did MFP give you 1,300 or did you set that for yourself? I would urge you to let MFP calculate your BMR and not just use…

I wasn't talking about yours, haha. I get the concept of buying local meats, I do it often.
-
I don't understand your post. Buy locally butchered meat?

I'm 5'1 and my goal weight is 130. I'll re-evaluate there and see how I feel. I'm very pear shaped, my measurements are 33-27-39, so I don't want to lose much more than that. Everyone is different.

I keep an eye on mine for bloating and general health reasons. I rarely ever go over or anywhere close to the limit and I have a Lean Cuisine or whatever for lunch most days. But I usually eat a self-prepared breakfast and dinner, so it's generally not an issue. Mine stays at less than 1,400 most days.

I wish I could find a kind locally that isn't loaded with sugar! I think the vegetarian ones by some off brand (Hannaford? I can't remember) has little to no sugar, and it's just a basic tomato sauce. I'll eat those! My husband is from England so he came over and here and was like "what is with all of this junk in your…

There's a lot of sugar in Special K and it really depends on what diet school you're following... for me, Special K has high fructose corn syrup, which I won't consume under pretty much any circumstance. That's my main beef with it, but if you're not concerned about sugar intake, then you're probably fine. I would suggest…

It's possible that you're experiencing acid reflux so definitely see a doctor about that. The other possibility is that it's bile, but that would indicate a gallbladder or liver problem and you'd be having other symptoms. Definitely see a doctor!

I usually buy Mom's Naturals brand anything (my favorite is the Sweetened Wheatfuls for my daily fiber intake!), no preservatives or anything. It's going to have sugar, but that's no different than most hot cereals out there, unless you buy plain oatmeal. Try to go for plain things -- Cheerios, bran flakes, Chex, Crispix,…

I don't think it's true. I'm the same weight I have been for the last 4 years, and I got married a year and a half ago. I do think, however, that a lot of people get married in their younger years, and as they get older and put on weight from aging and slowing metabolism, they think it's due to their marriage. I'm sure…

I'm looking at your profile picture and you are lovely! There's not a lot you can do to balance out in terms of exercise. You'll lose weight from where your body chooses to lose it. If you're pear shaped in the first place, your body obviously slims your upper body more than the bottom. We actually have very similar…

It has to be, I see sugar (in any form) in so many things now that don't belong, that it couldn't have gone down!
-
Get rid of high fructose corn syrup and putting it in EVERYTHING, and go back to real sugar. Problem solved. Also, cut out putting even regular sugar in everything -- bread, tomato sauce, I could go on. It's unnecessary.

"Paradigms"... I had heard the word before but never saw it spelled, so when I came across it as a restaurant name, I went "Huh? Para-dig-ums?" Sigh.
-
I put it on pizza, pasta, salads... even a slice of bread as a snack! You can also make killer casseroles with it.
-
I've had it since I was 14/15, and I was 105 lbs. back then! I've always had it on the backs of my thighs, just under my bum. I know women tend to get it more than men, as we have a higher body fat percentage. I don't think there's much you can do about it -- others have suggested creams and they work until you stop using…

Everyone puts on a bit of weight over the winter time... I'm currently trying to maintain as I always gain 5 lbs in November and it comes off on it's own in March/April. Keep at it and you'll swing back around!
