Not purposely but over the last 2 months everything diet and fitness related took a back seat. I just seriously restarted and dropped 3lbs this week, before the break I was struggling to break 1lb a week.

Are you tracking your sodium?

Copying and pasting something I said in an earlier thread.... I've never done it but a good friend did with horrible results. She did lose all the weight she wanted to but she has pretty much cannibalized her lean muscle mass so even at goal weight she is overall very flabby and strangely lumpy. Her dream was to look good…

You said this beautifully.

I've defriended more than 1 Beach Body coach friend for that crap. The worst offender wouldn't even keep it to her own page, she would infiltrate everyone else's pages with it. Friend A posts about a busy morning and within minutes friend B is extoling the virtues of Shakeology for breakfast on busy days. An innocent…

Make a point to eat slower while you're there. I find that the "eat more" talk only happens when my plate is empty, if I eat slowly and keep food on my plate for a while no one really notices what I'm eating or not eating.

It's still a long way off for us but my daughter will be getting the vaccine in 7th grade (the recommended age here) and if they're recommending it for boys my son will too. My best friend had cervical cancer after her daughter was born and as a result of the treatment it is unlikely that she will ever be able to carry…

I wouldn't consider myself extreme but by couponing for cleaning supplies, laundry soap and toiletries I can use the money I save on those items to boost up my food budget and buy better meats, more produce, etc; There are deals out there on healthy foods, you just have to watch for them.

BRAT diet (it works for the other end too  ) flat gingerale or ginger tea and lots of fluids.

It can for some people. Sometimes it's from increased appetite, sometimes it's just a side effect of changing your hormone levels. To put it in perspective, I gained about 7-10lbs on the pill. I gained 50+ lbs during my first pregnancy.

Has he always been a go out and have fun kind of guy or has he always been a homebody?
-
I'm on my feet most days, up and down the stairs several times an hour etc; so I just made sure to set my activity level to active to account for those calories.

I'll be trying it in a few weeks, we're going on vacation but staying in a house instead of a hotel so most meals will be the same as what I would eat at home. I still plan on logging in from my phone once a day though so I won't break my log in streak.

If you like him, he likes you and he would treat you well don't let your weight stop you from trying it. I'm a fat girl married to a skinny guy and it's never been an issue. The people who know us know that we're good together regardless of physical traits and the people who don't know us don't matter.

For now I would focus on what you're doing. Once you feel like you're in a good place with all of this then work on making small changes in your diet, one at a time. Every time I've had issues it's because I tried to take on too many new changes at once.

I would love to know where people are finding farmer's markets that are cheaper than a grocery store. We have 3 in the city and they are all priced anywhere from 30-45% more than the grocery store. We still go when they're open (June-September) but I don't go in expecting to spend less than I normally would. I get what…

I did a measurement test, not sure how accurate it is but it estimated my body fat at 27.7% The last calculator gave me 2700 which is right in the middle of the spectrum of reasonable numbers so I'm going with that. I think I can safely throw out the 3600.

I do mini bags of microwave popcorn. My son has a red dye allergy so most halloween candy is off limits for him, I didn't want to have a bunch of leftover candy that no one could eat.

One more strange side effect, her hydro bills skyrocketed during that time because she had to crank her furnace up to 82. She was freezing all of the time.

I've never done it but a good friend did with horrible results. She did lose all the weight she wanted to but she has pretty much cannibalized her lean muscle mass so even at goal weight she is overall very flabby and strangely lumpy. Her dream was to look good in a bikini, as it is she doesn't even want to go to the beach…

Agreed! It just feels like comfort food weather.

How many net calories are you taking in per day?
-
A 1000 calorie diet would give you a better chance of getting all of the nutrients you need so even though you end up with the same net calories you consumed more protein, fibre, calcium etc; A 400 calorie diet would make it very difficult to get enough of anything.

I have sort of a similar problem, but not quite the same, I remember doing it when I wake up the next day. For me it only gets really bad when I'm sleep deprived like I am now. It's almost like I'm sleep walking. I would talk to your Dr about it anyway Mine had a ton of suggestions beyond meds, I didn't bother because it's…

i don't know if I would stop but I think I'd take a break for a while. Switch to maintenance and weight training for the next little while, give yourself a month to live in your new body and then at the end of the month decide if you're happy where you are or if you want to keep going.
-
I guess in this case the simplest answer really is the right one  Thanks.
-
I think I'm misunderstanding something here. If I eat 1200 and burn 1400 through exercise I would end up with a 200 calorie deficit on top of my 2550 TDEE, so a 2750 cal deficit per day. Can that possibly be healthy?

I usually watch BL towards the end of the season because I too am a sucker for before and after pics. The only weight loss show I really love is X-weighted. I don't know if it's on in the states, it's Canadian but it's by far my favourite. They get a trainer they meet with once a month or so but the rest of it is up to…

Our stash has a little bit of everything in it, bamboo fitteds and fleece soakers or longies for night, prefolds and covers for when we're out, pockets for when my husband does the diapering... We're going on vacation in October and I talked my mom into renting a house instead of hotel rooms just so that I would have the…
