From the photos on your profile, I'd say you're pretty similar to the ones in the link...

I think the only issue you're going to have with them is if you're already injured. Certainly having bad knees and cranking the step height up isn't going to do you good.
-
Yes, it helps. But you have to be willing to do it because it will hurt worse than you feel right now.
-
Get a foam roller. It's painful to use but should help in the end.
-
You can't really target that area, but a small calorie deficit will allow you to lose fat and build a bit of muscle. Definitely add in some weight training and try HIIT instead of steady-state cardio.
-
Let's try this again... anyone? :flowerforyou:
-
No one?
-
Anyone?

Lift heavy.

This. I have no family history, am the skinny minny in my family, and my thyroid is underactive.
-
Hold them by the waist and wrap the waist around your neck. A perfect size will fit perfectly around your neck. No joke.
-
So at what size is a woman fat enough to make "I'm so fat" comments? If one is 300 pounds and another is 400, is the 300 pound woman not allowed to say she's fat? What if one woman is 10 pounds overweight? Is that not enough to constitute "I'm so fat" comments?
-
No. Carb loading isn't necessary for races this short.
-
THIS. I'm "skinny" and make similar comments. Not everyone is comfortable with their body. Just because my love handle is smaller than yours doesn't mean it doesn't bother me.

I only use protein shakes as a supplement to the protein I'm already getting. I find it pretty difficult to get enough protein right now with my living situation and not being able to eat nuts/PB, so I get all I can and then use a protein shake to help on top of that. I absolutely prefer real food, though.

I love dark chocolate in my diet. I get around the 70% kind. It's always a great treat to have after dinner, and it makes me avoid the cravings for other junk.
-
Maybe I'm doing it wrong...I used dumbells last night and every time I went lower than parallel, I heard serious crunching in my knees. I'm trying to focus on putting the weight on my heels, though.
-
Be careful with Biotin. It makes a lot of people break out. How much Biotin are those who found success with it taking? I cut my pill in half and still broke out like crazy, which I never do!

Since you're a beginner, find a program to help you focus on your goals. Stronglifts 5x5 is good. Compound exercises will be best for you right now. You'll need to get much heavier weights.
-
Please get help. It's great that you're aware of it so you know when to look for it, but I think a professional needs to step in. I wish you the best.:flowerforyou:
-
The amount of sets/reps depends on your goals. What are you hoping to achieve body-wise?
-
Squats, lunges and deadlifts. No need for a DVD.
-
You lost body fat from Insanity.
-
Cellulite is fat under your skin. You can't spot reduce so you just need to lose body fat.
-
Some days, you're not eating enough. Read up on TDEE. Also, I'm a big fan of 40/30/30 macros. 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fats.
-
Nuts and fish. But really, it sounds like you're eating a good amount of protein. You can't find any way to make the protein powder work? They're very versatile and I get a big jug that lasts me awhile for $35.
-
Wow. How far away is work?
-
You may need to wrap your wrists if they're weak.
-
It's called Tabata and certainly has its benefits.
-
I see the lean version as being one for people who want to drop their BF% but already have a relatively low BF%. Don't give up on Classic. I thought the first day was easy, too...and then I got to the rest of the workouts. I'm not overweight but had an overweight friend working through the program along with me and she…
