Yes, I did. No dice. :(

I don't know if I should really post because I'm 5'8" but my scale says 58% water, 32 lbs. fat and 22% body fat. When I was at my fittest, with 18% body fat and a nice six pack, I had around 22 lbs of fat. I blame my chest.:ohwell: But don't trust your scale to give you an accurate number on body fat percentage...

Black coffee is fine. I'm just more concerned that you feel you need coffee to make it through the day. Are you sleeping enough? I wake up around 5 a.m. but still get the sleep I need. I used to get up at 4 a.m. and still got the sleep I needed.

Planning your meals will make it so much easier to stop eating crap. When you make up some chicken and veggies for lunch the night before, it's much easier to resist the Chick Fil A.

Eat more and lift, lift, lift HEAVY. You will see relatively quick changes in your body.

I think it's strange that your BMR is so high. Mine is around 1470 and I'm 5'8'. But putting that aside, you need to be eating close to your BMR. That's the amount that your body needs if you did nothing all day.

Start lifting heavy and doing HIIT (I prefer on the treadmill). These are the most effective from what I've researched and tried.

This. To help guesstimate your number, look here: http://www.builtlean.com/2012/09/24/body-fat-percentage-men-women/

I don't understand how night shift is any different from being awake during the day and sleeping at night...

Keep doing squats and lunges but make sure you're pushing yourself with the weight. Add some heavy deadlifts and do butt bridges.
-
Burn more calories than you take in. That's it. It's always helpful to have a strong core but that's not how you're going to get rid of the bulge.

When the most muscular bodybuilder in the gym tells you he hardly ever sees girls lift that much weight. When your boyfriend refuses to spot you (and there's no one else around) because he thinks you're overdoing it.

If a glass of wine is good for you, a bottle must be great! I heard it substitutes as a multivitamin, too.

I've only been able to find one good one. It's a Champion and was about $65. I'm a 32D and just can't find any good ones with enough support and a small enough band.

Lady here, but ugh. I've seen some seriously nasty calluses and I do NOT want them. I don't care if I can lift heavier than some guys at the gym. I don't care if I'm proud of lifting and proud of my body. I'm not going to act like I'm too cool for gloves. And yes, calluses on guys are gross. Rough hands are to be expected,…

I got a nice pair of dumbells from ****'s Sporting Goods after a bad experience with the adjustable ones (plates falling out, not locking in place, etc.). I much prefer these because I never have to worry about plates falling on me and I think they were less money for more weight. And then you just need to keep getting…

I only spend about 30 minutes on lifting. I do compound exercises and continually keep moving to the next thing with maybe 1 minute rest while everyone else around me is spending hours in the gym sitting down and "resting" between sets. I like to get in and get out!

Aside from making sure it's not a serious issue, have you tried probiotics? I didn't have the same issues as you but I now take them and feel less bloated.

Is your workplace flexible? You can get an exercise ball to sit on. My office has different things to add to the back of the chair to help. Maybe you could have them buy one, or get one yourself? They usually fit all kinds of chairs so you can use it for years.

Why not be honest with her? If you think it won't hurt her feelings, tell her you're trying to be healthier right now and, since they look/smell so delicious, it would be better if she sat them elsewhere. Or if she only brough in enough to give to the other girls instead of leaving them up for grabs. If you don't think…

Me! Mine has 30g of protein and it still leaves me hungry (although it keeps me full for a little bit since it makes me sick to my stomach). I rarely have it for breakfast, but it leaves me hungry after workouts.

Look up Stronglifts 5 x 5. Also, if you're intimidated by people at the gym, try going when there aren't a lot around. I feel I get a much better workout when I'm the only one in the weight room.

Optimum Nutrition.

You'll have to see yourself. At minimum, you need to be eating 1,200 NET calories a day. What works beyond that will depend on your body. Some people lose weight at 1,300 calories and others lose weight at 2,300 calories. Trial and error.

I've read there's not much of a difference. Cold water can help bring down your temperature and is usually tastier, though.
-
I either eat and then wait an hour, or eat something small. Even a handful of almonds can be enough to hold me over until after my workout.
-
I go between 7:30-9 p.m. I'm usually the only one at the gym at that time, which I like. I would kill to be able to work out in the morning but I'd have to wake up at 3:30 a.m. to do it and get to work on time. It's when I'm most motivated, though.

I definitely prefer the treadmill out of the two. I like to do HIIT workouts and I feel like they're not as effective for me on the elliptical.

22 in the original chocolate.

HIIT and strength training. Seriously, you'll lose much faster and it's not boring!
