  • I'm vegetarian, and have been for years. I find I eat the limit of calories and carbohydrates, but struggle to get near the protein or fibre levels recommended. It doesn't help that i don't like quorn or tofu. MFP has been really helpful to try and counteract that... but I still find it difficult.
  • I think the key to burning calories is to find an activity that you can make time to do and enjoy. The gym can be a bit of a slog for many, so classes are a great motivator. For me the best exercise was climbing, it burns a lot of calories, builds muscles and gives you a great sense of achievement.
  • Have you considered buying dried beans and sprouting them yourself to get a fresh supply of bean sprouts for your stir-fry? You can get sprouts from many different varieties, but i believe mung beans are the most commonly used.
