Go you! :drinker:

I have no relevant information on your question, I just had to mention how jealous I am that you're capable of a 400 calorie workout. A 200 calorie workout is a pretty good day for me!

I think most of the games on Wii Sports Resort are higher intensity than average walking. I don't even bother trying to figure it out myself though - I just use my heart rate monitor. I haven't tried it on Wii Sports Resort yet because the idea of trying to keep it at that level for at least 30 minutes is a little…

Hey everyone! I haven't been around much but I've been plugging away, believe me! I'm still pretty much sticking to Walk It Out - which is pretty typical for me; I find one thing I like and about two minutes later I'm addicted! I use a HRM and I did notice recently it seems to be taking a lot more effort to get my heart…

Congratulations! I earned my first Active Lifestyle Award on Saturday. I'm really quite proud of myself since it is such a step up for me. I only had 4,538 points but I figure I can only go up from here!
-
Well it's a good thing I'm not competitive because I've only got 3,885 points total! On the other hand I've only got one week left on the active lifestyle challenge and I haven't had to skip any weeks, yay!
-
I love these ideas, and I agree - keep 'em coming!

I actually found it pretty easy to go to flavored creamers without any additional sugar. Even if the creamer isn't sugar-free it's still a bigger bang for your sweet tooth per calorie.

I'm starting week 4 now on the Active Lifestyle challenge and I'm really happy I signed up. I'm not very competitive (which is good considering how I stack up next to most people), but I really like tracking my progress towards a concrete goal like this. I think after I finish this I might even try the Champions one,…

Hey everyone! I haven't been here in a little while, mostly because I had a mini-vacation. I'm still doing Walk It Out pretty regularly, though I'm starting to wish for a treadmill so I could truly WALK instead of marching in place. Besides that I'm still enjoying it and I'm noticing my step counts are going up a bit…

Congrats, you have every right to be pleased with yourself!
-
That's a new resource to me, thanks!

You can either input the individual ingredients and then perhaps save them as a meal, or figure it out yourself and enter it as a custom food item.

40 minutes on Walk It Out last night, new record for me whoo hoo! I think I might have overdone it a bit but I took an ibuprofen and did a little stretching right afterwards and I'm mostly feeling OK today.

Hi and welcome! I never had a Doritos problem until a couple months ago when I discovered the Salsa Verde ones, yum! Here's what quitting smoking taught me about cravings: they really will pass eventually whether you give in or not.
-
Welcome Adam! Congratulation on your success so far!

I did 30 minutes straight on Walk It Out last night, which is a new best for me, whee. The program said my calorie burn was about 130 and my HRM said it was about 180; I'm inclined to trust the HRM. I think I actually need to figure out how to be a little less enthusiastic in my movements for Walk It Out - I think I'm…

What is generally said these days is that 10 minutes at a time is the minimum to get any real benefit. But I agree that any moving is good!

In the little time I've been on here one thing I've seen repeatedly is that you shouldn't ever go lower than 1200 NET calories and the main way you're going to get past a plateau is increasing both your exercise and your calories. So in that respect over 2000 isn't really that bad. MFP has a BMR calculator under the Tools…

SO true!

I've only played the first game - I can work up a bit of a sweat in some of the games like the disco dancing bits but not all the games are like that. I sure hope you feel better after resting up a bit!

Well there IS Rayman Raving Rabbids and the sequels. They're more psycho than cute but they are rabbits!

I picked up Walk It Out last night along with Sports Resort and, um, Kung Fu Panda (I don't have the excuse of having kids, I get this stuff just for me). I did 20 minutes/3,000+ steps on Walk It Out last night, and I quite liked it. I wore my HRM to ensure I was staying in that aerobic zone and it was just about right. I…

Heh, I'll be careful about logging the oil I cook with once I get back to cooking! I'm not having too many problems with the calories but my sodium intake is so high because of all the frozen foods I eat! I don't have any issues with blood pressure or anything but I'd like to get that down anyway. Thank you and everyone,…

One thing on the MFP site I like is the BMR calculator in the Tools section. There can't be any sort of one-size-fits-all calorie limit because the larger you are the more calories you need just to keep you body working. You can't use the same amount of energy to heat a two-story house as you would a one-bedroom apartment.…

I have a Wii and got Just Dance a few days ago. I like it but even 20 minutes seems to be a little strenuous for me so I'm going to check out Walk It Out and Sports Resort. I'm also getting a pedometer today, and silly me I just remembered I got a HRM last year that I should probably pull out since I actually have a use…

I would say yes and no. People tend to think of their daily allowances for fats as a tolerance only, as if zero fat intake would be the ideal, but the truth is our bodies really do need fats. In an ideal world the fats our body needs would only come from unsaturated or "good" fats but of course we don't live in an ideal…

Oh goody, I've double posted. Go me!

I've signed up - this looks great, thanks for doing this!
