Day 4 done, I only added two seconds to my max out time. My legs just gave out. Little scared of tomorrow's workout, I've heard it's crazy!

Interested to see the reponses to this. I've also been trying to up my protein and it's not easy. I usually have a protein shake or eggs for breakfast, and 3 oz of protein for lunch. I've just added 3oz of chicken to my a.m. snack and 3 oz of low sodium turkey deli meat to my p.m. snack to try and get more protein in, but…

^^ This. I personally like to use this calculator, which will tell you your TDEE to maintain, and will also tell you the calorie level you should be eating at based off of your activity level and other factors. Then you just eat that amount of calories, period. No bothering with eating back excercise calories because it's…

I've heard of this happening to a lot of people. Your spouse may be worried that you will leave him once you get fitter. It sounds like insecurity on his part. All you can do is reassure him that you are doing this for you, let him know how much what he is saying bothers you, and continue to invite him along with you to…

Using the stats that you gave, you should be eating around the 1450 calorie level to lose weight based on your activity level. It appears that for you to maintain, you would need to eat around 1700 calories (which you've stated is your high range that you eat), so that would make sense that you are not losing weight.…

I'm 5' 7", and I used to have a goal weight of 135. I'm currently 144 and no longer have a goal weight. I've shifted to the mentality that I don't care what I weigh as long as I'm happy with how my body looks. I came to this realization when I completed the Insanity program and weighed the exact same as when I had started,…

Sweat Intervals was so hard! I maxed out at 7:48. This might be my least favorite video so far. The freaking burpees into lunges kills my legs!
-
This scares me! On day two of month one, and my legs are killing me! Looks like I have a lot more of that to look forward to as the program progresses.

Hi! I'm a mom to one child, and am on day 2 of Insanity Max30. Not doing the Whole30 program though. Will send a FR!

Day 2 done, tabata power was hard. I don't have a lot of upper body strength though. The tricep dips were hard, but those pop up push up things will be the death of me!

Ugh, yes!! I eat the exact same thing throughout the week, but when the weekend comes, I am out of food and then I wind up eating badly. I need to plan better for the weekends.

Yep, you can pick which way you view it. The modifier track shows the entire group on the left and then the modifier alone on the right. I actually really like it that way. The regular track just shows the group as a whole.

Day one, 7:03. I'm exhausted!!

It sounds like you are psyching yourself out. I did the Insanity program after a year of inactivity. The first week I was so sore I could barely walk. But you push through (as long as you aren't injuring yourself) and that goes away. I think you should listen to your body (not your mind), and go from there. As the person…

This post is probably going to go downhill quickly, as most people around here don't buy into the Shakeology hype. I use it, personally I just use a half a scoop instead of a whole scoop, which makes the bag last two months for me. Doing that, the price point is comparable to a lot of other stuff on the market (obviously…

I try not to buy new clothing until I absolutely cannot stand how big it is on me. Then I buy just a few things in the next size down (or even a little bit tight) to hold me over. I will wait until I find stuff on sale (and hopefully have a store coupon too). I've had great luck with this shopping at Kohls.

Hi, I'm 29 but will be 30 this year. Feel free to add me. I work during the day and have a 4 year old son.

I would suggest getting yourself a heart rate monitor so that you can more accurately track the calories burned. I have a Polar FT4 and it works great. For me, I burn anywhere between 200-350 calories depending on which disc I'm doing of T25. But calories burned will vary for each person because of height, weight, heart…

What about prepping your meals for the week on Sunday night? I guess my weekday lunches would be considered "dull", but I make chicken breast, sweet potatoes and veggies on Sunday night and it's enough to last me through the week. I don't mind eating the same thing over and over again though. Also, Subway salads are a good…

Inhale with Steve Ross (youtube has full videos, not available on DVD yet)

I read somewhere that motivation is fleeting, and people who stick with their healthy lifestyle rely on discipline. They get up and work out, even when they don't want to or when they don't feel like it, because they are disciplined enough to do so. It really got me thinking and is something I want to encorporate into my…

Haven't started this program (waiting for it to arrive in the mail), but wanted to weigh in on this. I have my calories set to the TDEE method, and I still add my workouts and calories burned, but I DON'T eat the extra calories. I know what my TDEE calorie level is every day, so I just ignore the added calories from…

I'll join you! My package is supposed to get here on Thursday, and I plan on starting on the 12th along with Shaun T (following on facebook).

Inhale Yoga with Steve Ross has always been my favorite at home yoga to do. They took it off the air, but you can find full length videos on youtube of it.

Yoga will help you tone up and lose some inches, but you might not see the scale move much because it's not a high calorie burner. As others have suggested, Pilates, DDP Yoga, PiYo, etc are great because they combine yoga moves with resistance training. You appear to be new to MFP, there are some great pinned posts in the…

^^^This. I also did the 4% bet, and the pot was over $40k. I wound up winning about ten dollars. From what I have seen, it's the smaller groups that you win more money in. I thought the actual weigh in and weigh out process was sound though. If you aren't in it for the money, it's a good motivational tool because you don't…
