• ^^ This for Effexor. What a nightmarish drug to come off of. Talk about withdrawal symptoms! I was on Wellbutrin for about eight months. I actually had INCREASED anxiety while taking it, and had to take another drug to combat the anxiety. I didn't have any issues losing weight while taking it though, and my appetite stayed…
• I need to lose about ten pounds, and am getting married in November. Please feel free to add me :)
• My ex husband was severely depressed (used to have the same thoughts about driving into oncoming traffic) and was always caught up with how he failed at everything. But he used to say the same thing, that he would never hurt himself because his kids needed him and it wouldn't be fair to them. He took his own life three…
• Sassyjewell - did you get in to see your PCP yet? I am having this same issue, got referred to a gastro doc but can't get in until the 19th. I'm going back to my PCP today because I can't stand feeling like this any longer (it's been weeks now). Just curious to see what your doctor said.
• Is it possible that the depression pills you are on are making it hard for you to lose weight? I know some of them are known for weight gain, and others help with weight loss. I don't know how long you've been on them, but if it's been a while and you aren't feeling better, your dose probably needs to be adjusted or you…
• Disagree about the newer programs not being as good, at least for Insanity. I did the original Insanity, which was great. I've also done the newer Insanity Max30, and thought it was even better than the original. I haven't done P90X though, so I can't speak to that. I found PIYO to be a good workout, but it just progressed…
• LOL. I've seen his responses on the message boards before. I don't think he's being hateful or confrontational, he's just very "to the point". You'll find a lot of people like that on these boards. These types of people are the ones you want to listen to, because typically they have the best advice and know what they are…
• I don't think many people make it through without stopping when they start Insanity. I've done Insanity and Insanity Max30, and they are both crazy hard. Take as many breaks as you need to and be sure you use proper from. You will build your endurance up over time. Don't let the need to take a break discourage you, the…

• ^^^This X 1000! I am still working on this type of mindset, but this is really what we should aim for.
• This made me laugh! No, they don't all taste that bad. I suggest trying the other flavors in your variety pack and seeing if you like any of those. The first one I tried was the brownie one, and it tasted just like you described. Next I tried the oreo one. It was okay, but not great. Finally I tried Strawberry Cheesecake,…

•
if you have any better tips on how I can lose weight fast, I'd love to hear from you.
You most likely aren't going to find advice or tips on how to lose weight fast on MFP. Most people on here know that this is a way of life, not a quick fix to get into a bikini. You've been given great advice by multiple…
• No one can tell you that you are an alcoholic, but what you described above is alcoholic behavior. Drinking on a daily basis because of anxiety or depression is a slippery slope that can lead to alcoholism. You mentioned that you learned to live with your social anxiety through counseling when you were not overweight. Have…
• I had a drainless TT with muscle tightening. Drainless is the way to go in my personal opinion. I agree with one of the other ladies who replied, the pain was excruciating, and I also have a pretty high pain tolerance. I only took painkillers for the first few days though, because I don't like how they make me feel. It's…
• I did it a few years ago. 5' 7", was 160 when I started. I follwed the meal plan to a T, and at the end I was still 160. But my body looked totally different, clothing fit better, resting heart rate was lower, blood pressure was lower, etc. Just wanted to throw this out there as a reminder that the scale is not the only…
• You have to be very committed to Insanity in order to complete it (I've done Insanity and Insanity Max30). You can always modify the moves, and take breaks as you need them until you are able to do the moves unmodified and keep up with the video. There are also mats you can get that reduce the shock to your body when doing…
• I highly suggest checking out the website Real Self and looking through the tummy tuck reviews. It has them listed by location and doctor (if the person doing the review included it). Not only will you see pictures with real results (it follows people before, during and after their surgery), you'll get tips on what to…
• ^^Thank you! I cannot stand that this plan is called the "military diet". Where the heck did that come from?!
• When is the last time that you had your blood drawn and your vitamin levels actually checked? I ask because you mention that you are taking a prenatal, so you say that it can't be low iron. That isn't necessarily true, it is possible to take an iron supplement (or multi vitamin) and still be low on your iron level (you…
• Her name is Autumn, not sure of her last name.
• Hey ladies. I just finished week 7 of Insanity Max30 (one week left before I finish the program). I am also thinking about trying 21 Day Fix Extreme. There have been good results from the test groups. I'm just not sure if I'll like the workouts since they use weights and I'm used to doing body weight workouts. I tried to…
• Feel free to add me. I vary between 1600-1800 depending on the workout program that I'm doing. I follow the TDEE method for calculating my calories.
• ^^This. You sort of start to realize that you were letting a lot of things slide that you never should have. Finally realizing your worth and finding confidence within yourself tends to bring a lot of things to light. Ditto on feeling cold. I am cold all the time now! What shocked me the most has been the scowls I get from…
• I was thinking about doing a second round of month 2 after I finish the program in two weeks. I've been pretty good with my eating but have let treats slip in a lot more lately than I did in month one. I'd like to see what kind of results I could get by really sticking with clean eating. I've seen that people are getting…
• I've dabbled with T25 and Piyo. Completed Insanity and am currently on Week 6 of Insanity Max30.
• Off topic, but if you love Insanity this much (I did too), I suggest checking out Insanity Max30 at some point. 99.9% new moves, only 30 minutes a day 5 days a week, and even more insane than the original. I'm on week 6 right now and LOVE it.
• ^^Agreed. I pretty much stayed the same weight from beginning to end of Insanity, but I lost a ton of inches and looked totally different at the end. I would also suggest finding friends on here that are also doing the program. I find it encouraging to see friends in my news feed doing the same workouts that I am.
• Awesome! Interested to hear your thoughts on the month 2 workouts when you get there. Today's workout (Max Out Sweat) was insane!
• My last 9 pounds is also hanging on for dear life!! I'm 5'7". Anyone feel free to add me as well :)
• While I've never done P90X, I don't believe this is true. Insanity is body weight resistance training with heavy cardio. P90X uses actual weights and focuses on strength training with only small amounts of cardio (from what I've heard). Not sure how long the P90X workouts are, but the original Insanity workout is 45 mins -…
• I've done Insanity and am now doing the new Insanity Max30. Never tried P90X, so I can't speak to it. Loved the original Insanity but it was LONG (45min - 1hr workouts 6 days a week). Max30 is condensed to 30 minutes 5 days a week, it's harder than the original and I actually like it a lot more than the original version.
