^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is me. Sometimes I succeed and others I don't, but really, it comes down to not starting.

Dayam, Gina!

At 121, even doing this by the book will be slow. You'll probably lose 1/2 a pound a week, if you do it right. Doing it slow and right is worth it because you are more likely to keep it off.

You aren't eating enough. What is your current weight? You have several diary days where you are really, really under the number of calories you need. The oil in your omelet isn't going to stop you from losing weight. Eat a little more and keep with it. It takes me 2-3 weeks to see any scale movement when I'm doing it all…

If your tummy is growling and it feels hungry (as opposed to the sounds it makes right after a meal and it is digesting), you should eat more. Since you just have a day and half of a diary, it is hard to say if there is a pattern to what you are doing. Make sure you eat plenty of healthy snacks during the day so you don't…

Yup, just remove it so you don't see it.

I was thinking the same. If it is 8 pm, you should probably just go to bed. Brush your teeth so you won't want food so much. I'm not sure what your daily schedule is like (like, if you work night shifts or something), but getting enough rest is important to weight loss, too.

Love morning exercise, and I used to be a night owl, too. If you exercise hard early in the morning, you will want to go to bed earlier. I'm a little sad about that sometimes because I like being up at night. Oh well. You might motivate yourself to get up if you know you're allowed to take a name in the afternoon (unless…

If your doc oked it, your heart should be fine. I think exercise helps anxiety. I do elliptical and weights with the tv going at 5 in the morning. To me, anxiety is partly about my mind being in overdrive and thinking about so many negative possibilities. Combining exercise and tv keeps my mind distracted from bad…

I think I've seen this before, but thanks for posting again, as I find it really inspiring. One thing that troubles me is that female models in the 15-30% range look like they may have breast implants. I'm not objecting to the implants at all, but I'm thinking that something must be considered in there for them. For…

Great work on quitting smoking! Huge hurdle cleared! How are you with dairy? I love Greek yogurt! Oatmeal? Brown rice? I love stir fry with lots of veggies in it! If you drink soda, stop...it is a waste of calories. Lots of water! Good luck!

So, so true. This diet only works if you get the right cardio and plyo in through running and hunting. If you curl up in a ball of fur and sleep through the full moon, you will actually GAIN weight. My fat bulldogs are evidence of this. Also, you may get frustrated if you lose your daily log in count with MFP while you are…

Ok, for real, I'm impressed that people can pooch it out and suck it up that much. I haven't tried it, but it is scary how much difference it makes.

I bet by the time you wrote this long post it was seeming pretty clear. You didn't really list anything you like or enjoy about him. If you are staying around because you feel like you already "invested" 4 years, don't. You learned a lot about what you want and don't want in four years...time to be done. Also, this is kind…

Wow, I hope someone has the answer to your questions. I was hoping to see answers because I sure don't have them.

Good for you: late 60s and running like the wind! Everyone else can disagree, but I find that the older I get, and the more messed up my hormones are, the more careful I have to be with all my food to see the scale more AT ALL! So, some things that I see consistently in your diary that you may not need: orange juice (it's…

If I don't start the day with protein, I'm screwed for the rest of the day. Thus, I start with 2 fried eggs and a few cups of coffee. I eat fruit and nuts when I get to work for a morning snack

You are a doll!

Girls with big muscles have to work really, really, really hard to get that way. You can look in the mirror each day and decide if your muscles are big enough to stop yet.

I'm a pear, too. I think it is harder to lose weight the smaller you get. Things that have worked for me: I do the 1200 calories, but I eat back exercise calories, so it turns out to be more eating than that. I cut out soda, even if it fits my calories and macros. You didn't say how old you are and the "a calorie is a…

I love tankinis, but I will add this: I promise there will be people there in tiny bikinis who are wrinklier and bigger than you. You'll probably know no one else there. Don't worry about it. It's your body and you can wear what you want.
-
Me, too. It would make me crazy to look at it every day. I do it weekly, and that's enough. It takes me 3-4 minutes to get the scale out, strip down, weigh, and then put it back. Most mornings, I need every minute I can get. Not wasting my time each day on something that makes me anxious.

What a pleasant and unexpected epiphany! Congratulations!

Nice writing. Yes, that is pretty much the dialogue!

Take a scale and ask for the recipe? jk I imagine you can't. Give it your best guess and round up. As long as you don't go often, this shouldn't impact your overall results too much.

If you are just ranting to build your own motivation, I get that. If you are posting in this board (a help board) for help, you'll need to give more information for anyone to give you advice that might work. Opening your diary would help, but also, what is your goal? How much do you weigh now? How old are you (it matters)?
-
Not at all. I was under at at my calories but didn't end up where they said. Not a problem. Progress is progress. Just don't get too excited if it looks fantastic because it may not happen. I think having realistic expectations is a good thing.
-
Eat your exercise calories. You are saying you lost 4.2 pounds in a week, right? That sounds like you are being too restrictive. You'll do better long-term if you lose slowly and keep your calories in a place where you aren't hungry.
-
Maybe you need heavier than body weight weights? Do you have access to a gym?

People get feisty when you take away their cookies and chocolate.
