If you think 1300 is better, go for it. Most people consider 1200 too low anyway. I don't log things that I did before I started losing weight, which might include walking to campus for you. For example, some people log house cleaning. I did that when I was heavy and it just got me to being heavy. Not gonna log it. I log…

Regret fueled by guilt topped with anxiety and bloat.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ So, so true.

In some ways, all weight comments are awkward. :noway:

If you can burn 2,000 in a hour, you should probably go for two hours so you can pass 3,500 calories and burn off a pound a day. At that rate, you should hit your target weight soon after you are embalmed.

Fascinating. Thanks!

I'm a pear. I lost 15 pounds (127 to 112), and lots came of my bum and thighs. I'd say the last place I lose is between my ribs and middle of my thighs. I saw my arms and calves shape up before my belly and thighs. It's frustrating, but I'm going to keep going at it. Sorry, no pics.

mmmm...yes the browner the better! I love dense breads with all the fiber and seeds and nuts.
-
White bread = sugar Look overall at your diet and food for the day and week. If you want it and it fits, sure. Otherwise, it won't help you any.

I say early morning: You don't dread it all day. You get that endorphin boost to start the day. You start the day knowing you've already done something right. I have a family, and it is peaceful to exercise without anyone awake to interrupt. I find it easier to resist tempting foods since I don't want to destroy the hard…

<<<<Working mom of three. I get up at 4:45 and exercise an hour before taking kids to school and going to work. Not fun, but not terrible once you get used to it.

I'm in the same boat. Thanks for the post, OP, because reading this thread is keeping me motivated!

I looked at your food and exercise diary. I think you nailed it with "junk" calories. I have to really limit my processed foods, or I get no scale movement. If you'll cut the junk, other things will taste sweeter and better to you. I'm a sweet-aholic, too, but if I'm eating right, and apple in the middle of the afternoon…

Very common question. I say, eat back most of your exercise calories. That's what MFP recommends. You need some calories to keep your body moving.
-
Great job! This is a strong accomplishment! Pat yourself on the back!

When my daughter was a baby, she spit up more than normal. WAAAAY more than normal. It seemed that everything that went down came back up. I have two other children, so I knew what normal spit up would look like. Amazingly, she gained weight on schedule. There is no way to tell what your body absorbed. Log it and count it…

I don't know about calories, but do drink more water!

Not sure how serious you are being here but... 1. I would have no idea how to make a McDonald's burger at home. I don't know what they put in it, but it isn't what I put in a hamburger at home. 2. Why are we living longer? We have lots better medical treatments. When you factor in the way we deal with infant mortality, we…

I've had this thought, too. This can sound harsh, but I use it for motivation. Being picky about food is such a 1st world problem. When our old parents used to tell us that someone was starving in China, well, it kind of makes sense. I try to get to a caveman or pioneer place in my head. Wow, children in a ****ens novel…

Drink lots of water as you eat. It will help fill you up and slow you down.

Goals for next two weeks: Week 1: Exercise 7x: That's probably 1x/day, but if I get behind or just want to double up, that's ok, too. Have no more than 3 inactivity alerts on my Polar Loop Week 2: Same as Week 1 Also, increase weight on one lift, any of them!

My earlobes feel smaller. Seriously. More proof that you can't target reduce.

I know this isn't useful, but it seems like your therapist would have the best recommendations for exactly your challenges. Good luck!

Yes, this happens to me, too. I figure as long as I'm going in the right direction, it shouldn't matter. (I don't wear anything to weight at home and I do at the doctor's, so that makes a difference, too.) I track each week on my home scale, so that is the one that will tell me if I'm moving in the right direction.…

I've got it, too, but it has gotten less noticeable as I have been lifting weights. That would be my recommendation. Good luck!
-
OP, thanks. I needed this today, too!

This won't be a happy post, but I'll tell you what worked for me after age 35. If I ate junky food, I got nowhere. You are eating way under your calories, but you are eating some sorry food. (There are some high points in there, but not consistently.) Here's what works for me: Cut as much processed junk out as you can.…

If you are looking for fast, I mix in some chili powder, salt, and maybe whatever else sounds fun, some craisins, and then form into patties to grill. I top with a couple of sprinkles of shredded cheddar. I know it sounds weird, but the craisins make it all taste like Thanksgiving. My kids love them!

^Yes, cook good dinners and take the leftovers for lunch. This really helped me. I was eating Lean Cuisines, but I saw more progress when I started eating real food for lunch. Also, I take lots of fruit, and I keep nuts and dried fruit at my desk for snacks.
