  • KatieCuth, I have tried that. It leaves me weak and shakey. Even dizzy sometimes. That was why I was asking for advice on what to eat before my run. :)
  • I read that dried apricots, dates and even yogurt are high potassium. Maybe a couple dried appricots or even a fig newton or two before the run?

  • Welcome! I'm sort of a newbie myself. I love it though. The online support is great. Tracking what I eat also keeps me eating healthy. With all the encouragement here I have even started running. Just make signing on a regular part of your day, like checking your email or your facebook. You can't go wrong! :)
  • Is there a local school where you can use their track? Or maybe there is a bike trail or running path somewhere? I don't mind running in the dark, but even with bright clothing and reflective accents I am still afraid that someone won't see me. I think I would prefer to run on a track instead of the treadmill.
