Boy, do I have a lot to say about Low Carb Diets. I've been following the atkins diet for a couple of weeks now. And yes the Carb Count is very low when you start. 20g 's per day. There isn't too many foods you can eat that won't put you over, so you mainly stick to meats and veg's, and of course fat, lots of good fats.…

Hello I'm 55, I've lost a total of 16lbs in total so far, but only came back to this site 2 pounds ago. I want to reduce around 50lbs in total, so I will see how things go. I think that's a great Idea, the fewer carbs you have the more likely you will be able to maintaine or reduce while you are gone, Also watch out for the sugary treats.
