• Hi Sporty. I was nervous about the cortizone shots, but I was desperate for some relief. I felt better right away. I would say I had normal mobility about an hour after the shots. The sting from the shots was nothing compared to the pain I was feeling in my wrists due to de Quervain's.
• I'm wondering the same thing. I don't want to miss the deadline. I didn't get an email either.
• Woo hoo!! Any big plans for your birthday? You deserve a celebration meal and definitely some cake. :flowerforyou: I have Just Dance 2 for the Wii. It's tons of fun and a good calorie burner. Just Dance 3 just came out. I also have Wii Zumba. I havent really gotten into it, but I hear people love it and have lost a lot of…

• Joimichele ... when is your birthday? When it gets cold outside, I plan on doing workouts with my Wii and videos and whatever good I can find on demand. Also, I love running in place, jumping jacks, calisthenics while I watch tv. During the commercial breaks, I run up and down the stairs. Nothing replaces a good walk or…
• My primary workout is jogging and walking outdoors. On the days that I can't go out, I'll do 30DS or a workout video. I don't have a set schedule for my exercising. I am looking for a weekly Zumba class to join. Calf raises - done Hamstring curls - done Here's my daily challenge: Side Twists: This exercise can be done in…
• I had a pretty severe case of it on both wrists. I was told it was caused by the repetitive motion of the way I was lifting my baby. I could hardly move my thumbs and it was very painful. The only thing that worked was to have cortisone shots in each wrist. The pain went away immediately. Good luck.
• Hang in there Swimmom. Your progress is incredible. You'll reach your goal in no time. :) I hope your baby sleeps well this week. Joi .. good job staying away from carbs. That shows real dedication. Obviously, it's working for you. :) My goals for the week: 1. Burn 300 cals/day 2. Stay within calorie limit 3. Watch sodium…
• QOTD: What is the one thing you can do today, that you could not or would not even try last year at this time? I don't mean to jump on the bandwagon, but it's true for me too. This time last year, I would cringe at the thought of running. Now, I can run 3 miles without stopping. :) 10 bicept curls ... done! Happy…
• Wow huge difference. Your progress is amazing. Keep up the good work.
• Happy birthday!!!! I hope you have a fabulous day.
• Joi ... great job on staying away from the carbs. I know it takes massive willpower. I gave up bread for Lent one year and it was the hardest thing ever. I managed to burn 504 calories yesterday. My plan today is to burn 100 calories while my son is napping. I think i'll run in place while I catch up on one of my…
• I'm getting my T3 and T4 tested tomorrow. I've only ever had my THS tested. Next week I'm getting an ultrasound on my thyroid. It was ordered by my endo so she can give me a more comprehensive diagnosis. Has anyone ever had an ultrasound done? What should I expect?
• Hello beautiful Diamonds. Congratulations on a successful week!!! I took my son out on his new push trike this morning and walked for 30 minutes. It's such a gorgeous afternoon, I think I'll go on a jog/walk once he wakes up from his nap. I'm hoping to complete 4 miles. Today I tried almond milk for the first time. It was…
• Wow, I'm so impressed by everyone's losses this week. And, your personal goals are so very inspiring. I am up .5 lb this week. :grumble: I'll have to turn that around by setting my own personal goals. 1. Burn at least 300 calories every day. 2. Don't go over my daily calories. Keep up the good work ladies!!!
• Congratulations on your loss!! Your hard work is really paying off. 500 calories burned each day? Wow, that's incredible. I've only burned 500 or more a couple of times. I think a more realistic goal for me is to burn 300 a day. I will join you in this challenge. :)
• Hi. Welcome to MFP. You sound very similar to me. My baby just turned 2 this week. I had 15 lbs to lose (10 gone, 5 more to go). And, I am hypothyroid. I think you'll find this site extremely helpful. Feel free to add me as a friend for extra support.
• meggers123 ... You're amazing!:flowerforyou:
• I am so impressed by how accomplished everyone is. :) Like most of you, I feel my son is my greatest accomplishment. He amazes me everyday and I can't imagine life without him. I got my walk in today. My leisurely stroller walk was interrupted halfway by rain. So, my walk turned into a run. The good thing is I burned more…
• Nice job on losing the inches. I honestly haven't taken a single measurement since I started MFP. Maybe I'll be brave and take measurements tomorrow. My body is apple shaped so I never have a tiny waist. I wish I had an hourglass, or I'd even be happy with a pear shape. Sigh. I logged my food today. It was hard to stay…
• Good luck. I hope your new dose makes you feel better. Your doctor sounds wonderful.
• I got outside today and ran/walked intervals for 1 hour. It felt amazing. :)
•
You are doing so well! You are the weight loss queen (of group 9 at least)....lol. keep up the great work!
Actually, I think Swimmom has me beat. She's lost over 50 lbs! Incredible!!!
• I'm a shortie at 5'2" I think I can follow the goal to not eating unhealthy take out this week. However, that will have to start tomorrow. I have leftover pizza and leftover chinese food in my fridge. It's amazing how having a houseguest can disrupt your normal eating habits. My mother in law will be leaving tomorrow so…
• Well done on resisting the pizza. :) I'm really motivated to get back on track. If this was me last year, I would have given up, feeling defeated and chubby. I love MFP and all the wonderful friends I have who offer much needed encouragement :) Btw, today is my son's 2nd birthday. I can't believe my baby is growing up so…
• Yes, I am finally over my flu. I haven't worked out for almost 2 weeks. I think I'm ready to ease back into exercising tomorrow. I've been eating crap and not logging my food. My mother in law is visiting and we've been out to eat a lot. I need to buckle down and get back to business. :)
• Hello Diamonds. My name is Susie and I live in the Washington DC area. I have one son who turns 2 tomorrow! :) I joined DITR about halfway through Round 5. I'm happy to be a part of Round 6 from the start. I love the Diamond Challenge because I like checking in daily with my partner and the other diamonds with the daily…
• Hi group 9! I hope everyone is doing well. :)
• Way to go! That's a fantastic loss. I'm looking forward to a fresh start this week. I haven't worked out in 2 weeks because I had the flu and recovery took awhile. I'm finally starting to feel energetic enough to resume my daily workouts. I hope everyone has a great week! Hot Moms rock!!!
