No lifting for me today. Did 60 minutes on the Elliptical, though. Tomorrow is Stage 1 Workout A4 and a run with my friend at lunch time. My boss is gone for the week on a business trip and I am dying of boredom at the office. There are only small things that I never have time to do when she is there left to do. I am not…

Ok… I am usually good with my acronyms, but I cannot figure out the "BWM". I am sure it will be a palm-to-forehead moment when you tell me but I have to ask anyway. I even googled it… in an attempt to save having to ask… and I won't even mention all the possibilities I found. Got my lift in this morning. Felt good. Knee…

Happy December everyone! I over shot my goal in November, so I will up to 175km running this month. It might be a little harder with all the Christmas stuff going on, but I like a challenge :-)

Cardio only for me today. Spent an hour on the elliptical and it felt good. I am missing the outdoors though. My knee is feeling better so I am hoping to get back out running on Monday. Stage 1 week 3 starts Monday as well. I cannot believe two weeks are already done. Only lifting 3 days a week, sure makes time fly by.…

Cowgirl… the food from your MIL sounds amazing and horrifying all at the same time. I am not sure if I should be jealous or glad! Made it to the gym this morning. Went a little lighter on the weights and my knee held out… although step ups were a little painful on the right leg. I just need to remember I am not 17 any more…

So, no lifting and not running led to me going a bit rogue with my food. Nothing too bad, but definitely not as structured as I have been. I can only blame pre-TOM cravings. Planning for a better day tomorrow. Will lift in the morning, hope my knee is better and get back to the gym after work for some quality time on the…

Cowgirl - Congrats on the Jeans! There is no better feeling that fitting into this skinny jeans. Beeps - You look awesome. I am totally jealous. No lifting for me today. I have done something to my knee (I have cartilage issues that make them painful on a regular basis, but this is different). It might be from the sudden…

Got my lift in this morning. Week two of stage 1 for me. I am really enjoying this. Although, lifting is affecting my running. I am not able to keep my usual pace. But, I figure it is also to be expected, especially with this sort of lifting being so new to me. I am not worrying about it too much. I am hoping that, in the…

I survived Thanksgiving dinner! Yes, I know, technically Thanksgiving is not until Thursday this week. But, when you are an Expat in Germany, doing a big Thanksgiving dinner with friends is just not happening during the week. So, we usually do it on the weekend before or after. I am proud of myself. I had a little of…

I am wondering if it will be too much though. I have only just completed my first week of NROLFW so I will have to see. My run last night was not the greatest, but a lot of that had to do with being tired, having had a really busy week, and my shin splints playing up with my having forgotten to take ibuprofen before my…

I woke up 30 minutes before my alarm this morning. That mean 4:30. 4. 30. What is that?! Got my lift in, feels good. I skipped my run yesterday. I had forgotten something at home and the idea of coming home and then going back out was just not happening. It will push my running schedule back a little this week, but that's…

This made me laugh! No lifting for me today. Although someone forgot to let my brain know that and I was wide awake at 5am. Sigh. I did get in a 7.5km run last night and have 11km planned for today. I am debating whether to sign up for a winter race series. It is a series of three races; 13km in December, 17km in January,…

11/20: 7.93km I am only 30km away from my monthly goal! I thought I was stretching it a bit, but I am excited to go for more next month!

Cowgirl… your workout sort of scares me :-D. But in a good way. Manic… awesome job on hitting the 140s! It is sad that it seems your sister has "accepted" her size as being "just how it is". Hopefully your progress and success will also be a motivation to her and others in your family. Keep it up!! Just finished first…

Bepeejaye… I am glad to hear you do so much cardio. I just cannot give up my running. Beeps… I actually have trouble getting all the calories in that I need when I am a) eating clean and healthy and b) when I am keeping up with my workouts. When I do a long run on the weekend (last week was 10 miles, I average about 30…

Day 1, workout A is done. It sure felt good to really lift. Granted, I am no where close to most of you, But, it was heavy for me and I feel awesome. It will almost be hard to take tomorrow off… although I suppose I should wait and see how I actually feel tomorrow! I will make it up with a run. I know, I know… cardio is…

You guys are cracking me up with your posts. I only read through some of them from this thread so far, but, not wanting to be a creepy thread-stalker, I thought I would post a quick hello. I just got NROL4W and will start this week, depending on when I get through enough of the book to feel comfortable. I use to lift a…

Awesome results! I am just getting started this week (if I can get enough of the book and threads in this forum read) and this spreadsheet is great for tracking everything! Thanks for sharing!!

Hi everyones! I have just bought the book and may take a week or so to read through the threads on this topic and the book before I get started. I have been in and out of the gym since I was 16. When I started, I was working out with my boyfriend at the time and was up to a level where I was lifting what most of the guys…
