Hey, I've got chronic gastritus- was diagnosed last October when i kind of ended up in hospital because the pain was so bad and I had no idea what it was. It's horrible and i've been in and out of different tests all coming back negative. Right now i'm on Nexium(it's a pill) that I take daily and it's the only thing that…

Lately I've been doing red quinoa, with onions, with roasted sweet potatoe with balsamic vinegar. Then a huge salad. Last night I did medeteranian veggies with olives and a bit of tomato paste, cooked in a garlicky oil with some potatoes and spinach. Lots of Asian stirfrys with tofu. Falafels made from packet with…

There's actually many problems associated with too much consumption of animal protein. Most Americans are eating double the required amount of protein their body needs which is putting extra strain on certain parts of the body and isn't good for long term health. I'd say aim for your daily but try not to overdo it. Just my…

I don't believe the low carb to no carb (don't even know how that's possible) to be a sustainable diet. Carbs are what your body runs on first, you need them. Not to mention, where is everyone getting their fibre from with the lack of carbohydrates eg fruits and vegetables? No wonder people are so clogged up...

Be careful with coffee if you have stomach troubles. It's highly acidic and I'm fairly certain it contributed to my gastritis (inflammation of the stomach). Ive stopped it ever since (October)

If you give us a rough idea of what you're eating each day we'd be able to see if you're getting enough protein, but these days people consume wayyy too much protein which you don't actually need. 50 or so grams a day is plenty IMO

Plant based also includes nuts, legumes etc. They're great sources of protein. I'm vegetarian and try to not eat dairy when I cook for myself. I'd highly recommend a plant based diet, but if you eat meat now it'll be difficult to cut out dairy and meat all at one go. There's a plethora of books out there, i'm currently…

Sorry, to clarify I'm vegetarian but don't really include straight up milk much in my diet, I didn't know if some protein powders contain meat products eg gelatine lol! But I'm happy with vegan and vegetarian suggestions! I kind of just want the best tasting coz if it tastes average I'll just be wasting my money ha. Thanks…

seaweed sushi! delicious.

Try to not eat refined carbs at nighttime- usually just a salad or a tofu stirfry. Eat less at nighttime and more during the morning/day so you're able to burn it off (well that's how i see it). Usually works for me :)

Thanks guys. :) I'll check out that Floradix vitamin. I don't really notice the lack of iron affecting me but i'll try to eat more dark green leafy veg and see if that makes a difference. So beans and leafy veg? Any more ideas? Don't think i've ever tried molasses!

If you want ideas for a 1200 cal diet you can check out my food diary :) I manage to eat around 1200 everyday without much trouble. What works for me is, if you feel hungry make a pot of tea and drink the whole pot. It stops me thinking about food. :) Hope that helps.

When do we all weigh in? On the 1st Jan?
