Hurrah so glad its not just me. And so long as the scales and the tape measure go down a bit each month that will do very nicely!

Well said. When my children started eating solid food we made the decision to only take them to eat at places where the "childrens menu" was smaller portions of theadult dishes. They are both healthy and make great food choices, which makes me proud of the decisions we made for them, i have never understood the need for…

I was in exactly the same boat last week i gaine 2lbs despite excercise and being within calories and always over 1200. This week i havent really done anything different just more of the same and the scales are back down by the 2lbs. I put it down to stress. I guess so long as they eventually go down all is well with the…

My day is simillar to your and i have myself set as lightly active. My children are both at school so i walk the 2 mile trip to the next village and back 3-4 days a week at a very fast pace and add that to my excercise diary.

I realised that when the weather got colder i would need to buy new clothes because my winter ones were very shabby, the realisation that i would have to buy them in a bigger size than the ones i had, which were getting a bit tight brought home to me just how big i had got. I plan to wear the shabby stuff for as long as i…

Since i started eating healthier food we have a wider variety of fruit and vegetables in the house and i have noticed my 2 children (5 and 3) are keen to try them because i am. We have replaced our biscuit tin with dried fruit and nuts as well. We have also taken up walking as a familly activity, we incorporate nature…

Anything in decent condition will go to the charity shop, but sadly most of my fat clothes are threadbare and falling apart which is why i decided now was the time to loose the weight i couldnt face buying new clothes in my big size! The fit for the bin clothes might be cut up for material scraps for my crafting bag, they…

That explains a few things then. My 17.5 kilo child has recently decided that she wants to be carried on my shoulders all the time when we are out. Never thought of it as extra calorie burning but every little helps! Suddenly the scales have started shifting again though

I log my evening meal in the morning, when i get up and decided what i will cook that evening. Then i just log other meals after i have eaten them. My evening meal really allows me to see how many calories i have to play with for the day so which breakfast and lunch ie hight or low calorie i need to have to fit in around…

I like the danone activia fat free ones. I cant eat most of the low fat / calories yoghurts because they are not suitable for vegetarians but these ones are and they are really tasty.

If you are okay with meat substitutes then this one is full of protein and very filling. I find it makes 4 portions and it works out abour 280 calories per portion serve it with green veg or crusty bread (those calories not included in the 280) http://cauldronfoods.co.uk/recipes/main-courses/sausage-lentil-simmer.cfm I…

Stunning dress, i think wanting to wear that would give me motivation as well. Good luck

Although this receipe is veggie it would work just fine with real sausages. It is very filling and very cheap (i dont use the red wine) and my 2 who are 3 and 5 love it. http://cauldronfoods.co.uk/recipes/main-courses/sausage-lentil-simmer.cfm I do serve it with crusty bread if i am not dieting otherwise it is nice with…
