Something I want to know too! Can anyone recommend a good HRM that is effective in water?

Of course you can join

Hi I'm in London, Penge to be exact, feel free to add me too :flowerforyou:

Half Portuguese, half Dutch, born and raised in South Africa and now living in London, which I love! We're supposed to be in for gales and snow, but so far all quiet outside.

I worked out the range that got me to a healthy BMI and then picked the middle of that range. If I ever get there I might consider whether I want to go a little lower. I'm 5'1" and to get just into healthy weight I would have to be 134 lb, minimum in healthy range is 100 lb (which sounds awfully low) so I'm aiming for 112…

There is an excellent book called 'Eating Less' by Gillian Riley which really helped me deal with my food addiction, I eat because I love it and always feel hungry, but she also covers emotional eating. Honestly, this book changed my life and I would recommend it to anyone.

Twotastic!

I just got over a similar cold and I was ravenously hungry all the time, so I carried on counting cals, but upped them to my maintenance amount, so I didn't loose, but at least I also didn't gain.

What a fantastic NSV! And extra wonderful that it wasn't even something you had to force yourself into
-
I also make mine with salt and water - but top it with a little knob of butter and splash of milk (cream if I'm feeling very indulgent) and a sprinkling of brown sugar or squirt of agave syrup.
-
I guess it all depends on how you feel. I'm at the tail end of the same horrid cold and I have to admit I couldn't even drag myself out of bed to go to work so I didn't think I could cope with the exercise either. I opted for the stay in bed and get over it as quickly as possible so that I could get back to work/ exercise…

Christmas Carols at St Pauls, it's free but you have to get there early to get in! Don't know what it will be like this year with the protesters though.
-
Way to go - I know you've been putting in all the work to make it happen so it's richly deserved!

Yep I have the same problem. Down 6lb but no change on the tape measure. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one it gives me hope. I thought something freakish was going on;-)
-
I had this problem and switched to mousing with my left hand (as recommended in New Scientist weirdly enough), it's a bit awkward at first, but now I find mousing with the left hand very easy and comfortable and my shoulder is a lot better.

Hi All, I'm Marina, settled in London via South Africa and Portugal:-)

Hi I'm in Penge in Bromley, seems to be a strong SE contingent on MFP at the moment!
-
Wow! That's great well done, you look super healthy now;-)
-
I'm 43, feel free to add me too!
-
WOW! What an amazing transformation - congratulations.
-
Yep - I'm in Penge! Feel free to friend me. I frequent Crystal Palace pool in an attempt to get fitter, seems to be working too.
-
Well done, you look simply fabulous! I'm aiming for onederland too, hope to be there shortly.

Hi Stephanie I'm in London too and have been using MFP since June. It's really worked for me. I started using it for the calorie counting but what with everyone chatting about their exercise routines I found myself getting more active too which I'm sure has helped with the weight loss, as well as leaving me feeling better…

I didn't used to eat breakfast but nowadays, what with counting the calories and having smaller meals in general, I find that I am hungrier in the mornings than I used to be. I also found that skipping breakfast made me overreact and eat more at lunch time. I've found that my ideal is a larger breakfast and dinner and a…

Hi I'm Marina, I've been living in London for the last fifteen years. I've been dieting since primary school! So I want to stop that, get in control of my weight yo-yoing and finally feel happy with myself. I've been on MFP since June and so far it's working really well for me - even got me back to doing some exercise…

I used to weigh in once a week but if I haven't lost much or worst gained a bit it really affects my morale badly so I'm going to try weighing in just once a month and see how that goes. I'm trying not to obsess on the weight loss and just concentrate on developing good eating and fitness habits that will last long beyond…
