Equality between the sexes. The term Working Mother is really beginning to wind me up.

I don't believe in scheduling rest days as due to life balance commitments I would never manage to train every day. I try to work out every day but don't beat myself up if I've worked out 3-4 times in a week and then decide to take a day off. For instance I would normally train today but i have a flu and temperature so am…

You're clearly not stupid because you can identify the problem/issue at hand. Whether you put in the necessary commitment to actually change that behaviour is only something you can decide to do.

all junk food is almost designed to make you want more. None of it encourages satiety (the full feeling) they are all empty calories that seem like eating air because of the lack of fibre, the high salt and sugar content etc. avoid processed foods and eat more natural foods, more veges, wholemeal grains and breads etc…

I think when you are feeling this way its actually a great place to be because you are REALLY fed up and ready to change. So take the frustration you are feeling as a positive energy for motivated change! I don't believe (personally) that anyone ever needs to eat MORE to lose weight, it goes against basic principles of…

you are either eating too much or not exercising enough or a combination of the two. You may exercise 3 x a week but at what intensity and how long for?

lately I am just having a protein shake but throwing in a 1/3 cup of oats, shake it all up and voila an easy snack with good carbs and protein. Makes an easy breakfast or lunch on the run too, I have a couple of these a day lately. If you have one of those shakers with a little cup at the bottom you can fill the cup with…

hi, I'm from Auckland but live in Darwin.

finding out my new tenants have the power and gas being charged to my account (probably British Gases F&CKUP) AND receiving a HUGE tax bill because my thankfully Ex employer failed to calculate my tax correctly.rrrhhh.

well I can relate, not so much in the proposing thing but in the long distance thing. My husband worked in Australia for two years while I was in England . I had the same situation where I basically couldn't expect to work in anything like the level I can in the UK or NZ where I am from and feel too old to retrain (I'm…

its sheer boredom. Eating isn't for entertainment its for fuel. Some great ideas here, you definitely need to find another way to entertain yourself.

I find the whole drinking water thing so silly and so misunderstood. there is liquid in most food - maybe you eat a lot of fruit and get fluid in that way. Its amazing how many people think it actually has to be water, and any other liquid doesn't count. It just means thats about the fluid you need in your diet you get it…

33 is still pretty young! Wish I was 33 (I'm 44!). I was single at 33. Stayed that way to 38 when FINALLY I went to a singles type party and met my husband. He is completely different from anyone I have dated before (a country boy who just wants to be married). So my advice is go that way, go to dating type places, there…

thats really wierd I was at the gym listening to a Rhianna song and I suddenly realised she was it. The first time in a lot of years I 've had a hands down fave artist but there's nothing by her I don't like.

If you are both 12 this might be acceptable! It sounds like you are going out with either Beavis or Butthead.

I'm about your weight too. I say about because I gave up weighing myself ages ago, I really couldn't care less how I weigh. You KNOW when its working. If you want to speed up your progress I'd look at that 20% "bad " food you eat. Clearly you are not eating perfectly (who the hell does!!! :)) but if you improve your diet…

This is all the answer you ever need. If I look at actual calories no, I don't eat them back - if I do I seem to go into more of a maintenance mode. I eat what I feel I need, I eat clean, I don't drink alcohol (a big one) and I exercise daily. If I want to lose weight I do more cardio. As much as I can. It simply is eat…

The Unit was brilliant. Fast Forward I loved (love that English guy he's in smash now) was disappointed it stopped after one series. And What About Brian which was kind of like a Friends for 30 somethings.

I'm 2 days into week 2, feel free to add me!

Tom Cruise. Poor Tom. Nasty Katie. I'll cheer you up Tom. any Day.

fantastic! I'm in week 2 (well rest day today week 2 tomorrow). Its a great progression from 30 DS, also great for people who have limited time to work out (its only 20 mins) and great for any fitness level. Just do it with heavier weights if you are stronger, go lighter if you are a beginner. I'm getting a great burn from…

I hope I am never single again. And yes the celibacy/sporadic sex thing is tough! That said there are things to enjoy about it and looking back I wish I enjoyed it a lot more, had I known where I'd end up I probably would have. But I spent too much time while I was single worrying about being single!!!!!! so my advice is…

I did 6wk6pk and 30ds, and currently doing Banish Fat. 6wk 6pk is the one I like going back to so far. A bit bored with Banish Fat., 30DS for me is like for beginners when i went back to it was too easy second time around.

Trying to read 50 Shades of Grey but so far finding it puerile, boring and silly. Also quite a put down to women. The girl seems to be taken advantage of, I don't think its very good at all Note to self, must write some equally dubious dribble and earn big bucks.
-
I couldn't be bothered reading the whole thing because its none of my business and also because I think its a bit personal to post. However: NOTE: my mother in law died very suddenly of a stroke last year. She was 58. Her daughter (my 38 yr old sister in law) had written her some kind of letter in the same vein, telling…

its a really good idea to eat exactly the same thing every day - that way if you weight yourself in a week and find you haven't lost anything you can take one thing out or make one small change and see if thats the difference. its a very good way to manage things. if you eat all sorts of different foods you can find it…

you definitely need to try something different, if not to save your mental health! So change the way you exercise or change the way you eat. Question yourself - if you are feeling demoralised maybe you are "cheating" diet wise a bit, having that extra cookie here or there or whatever. I know I get slack when I feel…

Burton upon trent. But moving to Australia in a few weeks!

they have a really good seafood spagetti dish which is only 300 calories. its ample I find.

You could try a good brisk walk for an hour a day. then when you've lost some weight and feeling more confident you could join a gym. Also home DVD's are much more effective than gyms anyway (unless you know what you are doing) try 30DS works wonders! all in the privacy of your own home!
