You got some great advice regarding the transition to outdoors. It's nice to have the option to run in and outside (no excuses for bad weather). Best of luck with your 5k! Is it your first? I bet it won't be your last!!

A few other people have said this, but being faithful to tracking your calories and exercise is key. When I look at my day's diary, it helps me to know where my weaknesses are and address them the next day. You will find a lot of inspiration on this site, too! Good luck!

I smiled when I had butterflies in my tummy as I got on the scale to see what progress I had made. 2 and half pounds in 2 weeks. Yay me! I smiled when I got home from the gym this morning and my dog was super happy to see me even though I'd only been gone an hour. Great topic suggestion!

You can, but be warned...next will be a half-marathon, and then a full marathon! Nichole1981 is right on - the adrenaline is going to give you that extra push you need. Your body will do what you tell it to :)
