Yes, read the labels carefully. My son-in-law has celiac disease, and he can't even have things that are processed on shared machinery with products with gluten. You may not be that sensitive though.

You can also have potatoes, rice, corn. All those are yummy carbs.

There are tons of things you can have. You have to avoid wheat, rye, barley, and some people can't do oats. But there are so many good alternatives now. Many grocery stores have corn pasta, which is so much better than the rice pasta. You can check out the King Arthur Flour website for some good GF baking recipes using…

That's terrific! I know that feeling so well, of being sure the pants won't fit, and then BAM! They zip!!! Good for you :)

Salsa is good on slices of cucumber.

How can you get only 25 points when the minimum is 29?

I don't know why, but salads are like that - they always taste so much better when someone else makes them!

They look terrific - and gluten free too!

For lunch I had some homemade fresh vegatable soup and a yogurt. For dinner I had one and a half boneles skinless chicken thighs and a big pile of green beans with some parmesan melted in with them in a skillet and a dinner roll and a glass of reduced fat milk.

I don't really ban anything, but there are things that I know I can't eat just a little of, so I avoid them. But in my mind, I keep telling myself I can have them if I want - that way I don't develop an obsession about them.

Wow, that's great! I'm going to have to try it, thanks for the recipe!

I'm 5'5". Starting weight 260, current weight 188. Goal weight 135 I'm still working on it, but I'll get there!

"Some people like to have a "fat friend". Makes them feel better about themselves" That is so true.

You are only 9 weeks post c-section? Have you talked to your doctor about appropriate levels of workout? I ask because, honestly, it can take up to 6 months for your body to finish healing after major surgery. In any case, listen to your body. If it's normal soreness you're probably good. If it's excessive, back off.

I eat nuts to up my calories - almonds, pistachios, walnuts etc. are all higher in calories and healthy.

IMO, raw peanuts don't taste nearly as good as raw almonds or walnuts.

I think I would sub Pure Protein vanilla creme powder to get a vanilla flavor. Other than that, yum!
